Taken at Docklands, Melbourne. The water surface was a little choppy with the strong breeze, but the 30 sec exposure helped smooth things out. The hardest part was the left hand side where the light was brightest from the complex, a half grad was used to hold back the light, a stronger grad would have been better (if I had one) Taken with a Canon EOS 40D, mounted on a triped (a must) / Aperture used: f/6.3 / ISO : 100 (to keep down digital noise) / Exposure time : 30.secs / Focal length: 10.00mm / Lens used, Sigma 10 – 20mm / / / / / / /
I discovered this door as I was walking down a backstreet in a small village in Portugal. It is clearly showing the signs of ageing but at the same time is exploding with character. I am sure that this door has many memories and many many stories to tell.

This Fairy was painted using watercolour and acrylic. I scanned the finished piece into the computer and then enhanced it digitally. She was created for my youngest daughter Emily who was afraid at night. The night-time fairy now watches over her in her bedroom and guess what???? She’s not scared now!!! Yey Night-time Fairy :)

I am caught in the idea of when we transition to the next world; of what lies beyond, the lost loves we regain. I think that life is a time to sleep and in death we are reborn. / W. Palm Beach, FL. Leica V-Lux 1 Ambient Music – A Time To Sleep

The heavy heart sinks to the bottom of the pool of existence, / oblivious to the beauty of the ripples it creates across the surface of time… Self-absorbed, such a burdened heart, drifts slowly downwards in darkness, unaware of the magic that occurs when its waves touch the shore and return, or intermingle with the ripples of others to create intricate patterns of light and colour. / In the downward spiral, the heavy heart remains blind to the sacred art of its passing where the circles of light extend ever outwards, revealing new directions it might have taken if it had only once let go and looked up… PLEASE view larger…
