We lament the loss of sunny days and warm, soft nights. We welcome, grudgingly, autumn who’s been waiting her turn, and in the end fall in love with her. Concentrated ink and acrylic on Canson paper.

One of our family’s favorite vacation spots is Pagosa Springs in Colorado. We love soaking in the hot springs pools, play in the swimming pool or in San Juan River, go fishing, or just enjoy the nature and all the beauty around. Here’s a capture from the Hot Springs pool in Pagosa, taken early in the morning.

all about wheat and colors of cultured nature ..
I try always to use bold colours and powerful lines but still get a harmonic symphony of colours and forms. One of a series of pool scene paintings which deal with the beauty and life of the modern day women. This one I started with acrylic on paper ( 42 cm / 60 cm ) and finished it with watercolour pencil. Finally , I’d just like to thank you anyone who’s viewed , commented and rated my work!!! Sutton Bank is a high vantage point at the very edge of the Hambleton Hills and the North York Moors with extensive views over the Vale of York and the Vale of Mowbray. Because of its location and high elevation, Sutton Bank is popular with gliding and flying enthusiasts. Predominant landmarks include Whitestone Cliff and Roulston Scar, the former overlooking the mysterious (and reputedly bottomless !) Lake Gormire. Close nearby are the villages of Sutton-under-Whitestonecliff, and Kilburn (famous for the White Horse of Kilburn, and Robert Thompson – the “Mouseman” of Kilburn). / Sutton Bank is one of the most spectacular inland cliffs anywhere in Britain, and carries one of the most hair-raising main roads in the country. The near vertical drop from top to bottom is around 140 metres, and crosses at least two major geological boundaries. / The Sutton Bank National Park Centre is on the western edge of the fabulous North York Moors National Park – home to the largest expanse of heather moorland in England. It provides the perfect introduction to the National Park, its people, history and wildlife. Nikon D60 / HDR in Photomatix & pp in PS CS3 / Lens: Nikkor 18-200mm / 1/160 f/9.0 ISO200

I took the viewfinder and my Canon down to the beach on Sunday to take some summer shots. This is one of the results from that day. The seagull flew into the shot and I didn’t notice it until I started processing this one. There was a feeling of closure and finality in this shot with the gull included. I really enjoy a bright sunny day with a few clouds scattered across the sky. Especially sitting down on the beach, really makes me feel like a kid again. Original shot cropped and layered once, with hue adjustment and a warming filter added. See here for instructions on how to create this image.
