after many many hours and km’s…. this storm was dead and I thought I had missed a ‘dream shot’. We all know that the sun and the moon will never met being on opposite position but what if….. / A double layers. / Friends at last ,they meet on the cosy clouds and stay friends forever. / This idea came to me from a song that my mother used to sing when I was young about a rendez-vous between the moon and the sun that never happenned because the two of them were always waiting for one another.Charles Trenet,my mom’s idole was singing that song… / «Le soleil a rendez-vous avec la lune mais la lune n’est pas là et le soleil l’attend »A wonderful card to say that nothing is impossible when you’re in love. / / / / /

Caught this storm on the horizon on the way home tonight, just East of Okotoks, Alberta. It is reminiscent of some captures I have seen of hurricanes…. Hope none of our neighbors suffered any damage.

The sun slowly sets over the Appalachians of the Smoky Mountains bringing the end to the day. Shot was taken from the Clingmans Dome Parking lot in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park !

Taking a few minutes before my “Days End”. The colors are much cooler showing why these are known as the lower Blue Ridge Mountains. The foggy mist is why these particular mountains became known as the Smokys the colors and layers of ridges drew me to this shot. So often in making sunset/sunrise shots photographers shoot one or two shots and move on. This time of day is one of rapidly changing tones. Some of the most dramatic shots can be made after most have left or got there. When the clouds are illuminated by the sun after/before it has pasted the horizon. Those photographers willing to slow down an spend some time will be the ones fully enjoying this time of day when the warm/cool colors met, mingle, and drift apart. As you can see between the 2 shots 2 minutes make a dramatic difference. On a visit to the Jardin Botanique in Montreal I was captivated by the Chinese Garden. Various ponds and streams had huge floating islands of lily pads. But it was not until I rested that I discovered these two lily pads and the reflections, just over the side of the bench I was sitting on. Taken in macro mode. Taken from the parking lot at Clingmans Dome,GSMNP. The mountain was named for Brigadier General Thomas Lanier Clingman, by Arnold Guyot a geographer. Clingman in the 1850’s was the first to accurately measure the height of the mountain. The mountain was called Kuwa’hi (the mulberry place) by the Cherokee. This is where the legendary great bear chief and doctor dwelled.In whose magic bath the wounded bears are restored to health…Settlers first called it Smoky Dome then later was called Mount Buckley before Guyot named it offically

I began to climb when we got the region..And then, I climbed around 5000 ft.. Then the mist began.. So I had to stop climbing cause it was getting risky and I dont like making mistakes “in purpose”.. I waited around 10 mins but saw the mist was coming up on me.. So I gave up and decided to go back down.. :)) This time it didnt want me to climb.. So I got back and after 5 mins, storm began with the wind.. :(( (anyways, I did the right ) / In this week we will try again and again… Although we get the forecast from the satellite, it doesnt somehow match (or it changes too fast) :)) I keep posting them in serie :) / This one is one of the first shots when I got to region.. / Well I keep trying :)) TAke Care All :)) / Region Arhavi -TURKEY

I love sun rays and yesterday the clouds arrived so I decided to burn my retina and shoot towards the sun. Nikon D40 18-55mm with circular polarising filter. Artistic filter add in PSP as there was slight pixalation which I wanted to get rid of!

A wave crashes the London Arch, on the Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia, at sunrise. This was taken at the end of autumn on a very cloudy morning. I used a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera, 18-55mm lens and a tripod. I sold a large framed print (walnut and on red bubble) to my kind sister, Nadia, that she bought as a house warming and birthday present for a lucky friend. Thanks so much Nadia.
