The press loved the Mini on it’s launch in 1959, but sales were unimpressive, but when well known celebrities such as Paul McCartney and Twiggy became owners that the sales went through the roof. I’m pretty sure the Italian Job also had plenty to do with sales post 1969. The scene where the robbers’ Minis are chased through a sewer tunnel were filmed in the Sowe Valley Sewer Duplication system in the English city of Coventry.

I didn’t intend for the striped part (bottom) to / be like that. I’d added an “artistic frame” and was trying to / move it around with the hand tool-but accidentally clicked / the magic wand instead. Yaaaaaay the last one in the petals + make-up series. Blue/green. I think this has come to be one of my favorites out of them all, I’ve just been getting better and better at them. This one is much like Organic Petals, an intense close-up which is what I was going for. Enjoy!! And thank you for the support and favorites!

This is not at all what I originally wanted. I was going for a Kiss metal rock kinda look. But the colors and patterns made me think of a Peacock so I added flowers instead and then it started looking like a sad bride, hence the “the” part in the title as in she was something to be desired.

I’m sort of feeling creative lately.. but not sure what to do about it. So as usual, I covered my stupid face in makeup and took stupid pictures. :D I’m not sure that I really actually like it.. the colors are nice, but it didn’t exactly come out the way I wanted. After the challenge is over I’ll be restoring it to its full size as I prefer it like that. / Here is what it should look like when I restore it to it’s original size: For the Happy challenge (whoo, I won!). Stefan Sagmeister is asking people to rate their happiness from 1 to 10, and create a portrait that illustrates this. A selection of works will be included in his upcoming “Happy Film”. I’m baffled by this number system, but I’ve given myself a 3. Although I suppose at any given moment I may be anywhere between a 1 and a 10, I figure I should average it out a bit.
