Macro photograph of a tiny seed in flight
Here’s a macro shot of a dandelion seed with it’s reflection. I just really love dandelions and it’s shapes.

Tiny dandelion seeds against a colorful paper… Enjoy!
Second in a series of dandelion seeds. Enjoy!
Third in the series… three drops.. nothing too special. I shall explain the crazy set-up for this one… I had the tiny green spring (which was strung with seed beads) resting on a CD with a shiny gift bow as the background. I used a syringe to place the water drops and used my flash as well. Haha, it makes sense to me! Enjoy!

As is fuji finepix S8100 also taken in my garden now with blue flowers in the drop reflection of the dandelion seed / / /
Shot with a Canon EOS 350D with Canon EFS 60mm macro lens. / As is.
With all the beautiful dandelion macros flying around RB at the moment, I wanted to try my hand at shooting one. I spotted a fine specimen in the garden at lunchtime, but when I went to harvest it, it had disappeared! All I could find was a poor, bedraggled looking little dandelion, so I worked with that instead. Samsung GX20, Sigma 50mm macro lens.
One of my faves..
This is what I saw in my mind’s eye, when I framed the picture in the viewfinder. My eyes and brain knew it was greens and browns but that part of my brain that really sees things showed me this. Blues, ice crystals, winter on its way….I REALLY LOVE this!!! Edited in Photoshop Elements 3. / /

This is the final in my L’Oiseau series – although I am not quite sure about this yet. It feels as if there’s on more lying in wait…. So you’ll have to watch this space. It refers to the following lines: ‘The eyes are not here / There are no eyes here / In this valley of dying stars / In this hollow valley / This broken jaw of our lost kingdoms.’ of T.S. Eliot’s poem ‘The Hollow Men’ and was inspired by it. There are three more images in the series (so far): The first in the series is Panier-Avec-L’Oiseau. / The second in the series is Tête-à-Tête. / The third in the series is Métamorphose. A brief explanation might be in order: / - the cage is actually half seed pod (not a peanut!!!) / - the flowers are poppies, which are used in rememberance of the fallen soldiers here in the UK / - at the back you can faintly see a feather pattern I created specifically for this image / - the sky/clouds is a photograph which I’ve used as a texture / - the leaves framing all the pictures are photographs that I’ve edited and arranged to frame the image. 101 views to date.
