  • “Neptune’s Sculptures” Photography & Artwork / by Holly Kempe © The Twelve Apostles rock formations on the Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia. “I have seen the sea when it is stormy and wild; / when it is quiet and serene; when it is dark / and moody. • The “Conversation Piece” consists of 22 copper-bronze statues near The Groyne lighthouse at Littlehaven Beach, South Shields. Designed by Spanish artist Juan Munoz they have been a talking point for the last few years. Oddly, from a distance you can never be sure who is talking to who – human or statue!

  • I would like to thank Richie Fox for nominating this piece for the ‘Pay it Forward’ group here on RB. You can see his awesome art here -> http://www.redbubble.com/people/richman Here’s what he had to say about ‘Moon Fire:’ “I love this art because not everyone is doing it, its abit more specalized. Its close-up, macro shot and there is a talent in being able to see art, so very small, where other folk cant even see whats in front of them. This piece is a macro landscape from a bin/ dumpster and its brilliant. dark blue skies, bright sun and what could be seen as a bright red crop or a fire. colours and contrast work very well in the abstract. To have the vision and creativity to stick your head in a dirty bin and get close up looking for mini master pieces made from dirt, bumps, scratches and rusting metal surley does deserve a mention.” Richie – I’m flattered. Thanks for the nomination. This is a macro image taken from a dumpster in Boulder, Colorado. It has been edited for contrast and embellished to enhance the ‘landscapeness.’ The image is actually upside down… I think. I take so many of these that they all start to blur together. Reminds me of a Colorado Forest fire that I witnessed on a far away mountain.

  • In Kennebunkport, Maine there was an art gallery that sold all kinds of copper wind sculptures. The lines and shapes in this intrigued me. The sky was white that day, so I thought that it would be awful for photo taking. However, I was glad that it gave such a spare and sparse background for this particular shot.

  • crystal clear waters give the feeling of a tropical paradise. Icebergs and sub zero water temperatures tell another story

  • The Annual Sculpture by the Sea has turned into bloody Pitt St….. Even at sunrise I was there on Sunday morning and there was about 30 photographers scrambling around. I decided to shoot at night when everyone else had gone home. This image is a long exposure image that was light painted using my handy dandy light wand. I have one other sculpture that I want to go back and light paint as well….. when there are no other people around. BP

Buying laminated prints is an easy way of providing encouragement to the artist, and still having change for that huge mounted print for the living room. Definitely the “impulse buy” of the art world. / Canvas Print: / We’re using Canson Canvas, an Epson printer and Epson pigment inks to ensure a quality product that will look great and last forever.
