You know the grips in a water bottle… well that’s what this is. I took the aquafina label off, and put some colorful wrapping paper behind it. There was a few bubbles in the water, which looked cool with the texture of the bottle. It looks like a droplet continuously dropping into a puddle to me…haha. Enjoy! I used my 105mm macro lens for this.

This was my daughter swimming in a friend’s pool. I watched her glide effortlessly below the surface, then grabbed the camera and had her repeat it a few times so that I could get a decent shot. The gentle surface ripples created interesting distortions, to give this a slightly surreal quality. Taken with Canon A460. The original was somewhat desaturated and affected by reflected blue sky light, so colour adjustments made to deepen the water tone and return the skin tones to a more natural colour. / / .......................................................................................... / Image Copyright Duncan Waldron © 2009 / This image may not be reproduced without permission / .......................................................................................... / /

The heavy heart sinks to the bottom of the pool of existence, / oblivious to the beauty of the ripples it creates across the surface of time… Self-absorbed, such a burdened heart, drifts slowly downwards in darkness, unaware of the magic that occurs when its waves touch the shore and return, or intermingle with the ripples of others to create intricate patterns of light and colour. / In the downward spiral, the heavy heart remains blind to the sacred art of its passing where the circles of light extend ever outwards, revealing new directions it might have taken if it had only once let go and looked up… PLEASE view larger…
