I shot this at the southern tip of Tasmania around 9pm Daylight savings time. This is a bay called Surveyor’s Bay. Tassie is just so gorgeous. Pristine, untouched (almost) and wonderfully peaceful. When I was making it, I was simply merging a bunch of elements that I really enjoy – nature, juxtaposing seasons, a captivating background, interesting model poses, realistic water, and using a monochromatic blue colour scheme. But I guess subconsciously, I was creating an outward projection of how I feel about a very passionate issue with which I am currently faced… Due to resolution issues, the deer had to be photo-painted into the image. Water effect created using a displacement map in PS.
