Away beyond the blue / One star belongs to you / And every breathe I take / I’m closer to that place / Yeah, baby / I’m gonna meet you there / On the outskirts of the sky / Yeah, baby / And we will fly / Away beyond the blue / One star belongs to you / This life is but a dream / Go gently down the stream… lyrics by Beth Nielsen Chapman
Amazingly there are 20 species of Magpie in the world. Not quite sure which I have painted here… looks more like an Australian magpie Many people consider them superstitious, they certainly have their place in folklore, some believe they bring good luck, others believe bad. I remember being played Rossini’s Thriving Magpie when I was quite young; it is said they have a panache for shiny, silvery things which they like to steal and hide. / Here the magpie has found a key! I wonder where it came from? I see him as a ‘Keeper of Secrets’. / The selected text comes from a traditional rhyme I was told as a child: One for sorrow, Two for joy, / Three for a girl, Four for a boy, / Five for Silver, Six for Gold / Seven for a secret never to be told This is an acrylic painting on canvas.
Oil on canvas. Size 24” x 57” In the group “All Things Orange Artwork Gallery” this painting won 1st place in the the challenge “Radiant Orange Flower”.

Symbol of ANZAC Day Suggested Framing: /
I am very happy on April 25, 2009 this photograph was featured on the HOME PAGE of RedBubble. As Shelley Heath kindly explained to me, Anzac Day in Australia is a day for remembrance of those lost through war. Red poppies are used as a symbol for remembering the fallen soldiers. April 25 already was a special day to me: it’s the Legal Holiday of the Liberation of my country, Italy, as well as my grandma’s birthday. Thank you for making it even more beautiful. Here is the Screen Shot of the Home Page: Just a few info about this picture: - It was taken with a point & shoot camera; - Most of my pictures are almost SOOC, I don’t like editing them with Photoshop or other software. I may use some filters, but all things I could have done with a ‘real’ filter, if I had it. My equipment is made up of only a camera and a lens now, unfortunately. / To me using Photoshop is indeed a kind of art, but not something which has to do with ‘photography’. - I love those power lines. I wanted them to be in the picture. This is my personal idea of composition. Everything doesn’t have to be perfect, to be beautiful. HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF THE ITEMS YOU CAN BUY: / If you are interested in any of them, please click the buy / preview button above and select the features which best suit your needs – Thank you very much! *

Artists Note: Once upon a beautiful day… this pretty white mare thought she might wander through the poppy field. Birds fly overhead as Autumn gently approaches, a gentle breeze blows poppies in the wind. A simple vintage dream-scape I hope you’ll enjoy. stock: poppies horse
