Rock formations at low tide. Taken with my 5D and the EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM lens. This is a 82mm lens and I am currently using Cokin Filters (handheld).....uuuuurrgh. I am very keen to get a Lee Neutral Density Filter set. If you have this setup I would be very interested to hear from you what experiences you have made in regards to vignetting and what Lee components you have mounted on your lens. Thanks heaps

I created this to go with Ablaze – sometime I will get enough time to finish all the elements but it is a time-consuming project. This is a combination of another eye picture (I want them all to come from unique eye images) and a picture I took many years ago at a beach in Western Washington. More photoshop work went into this one because my eye is not naturally blue and it was harder to blend the two pictures together but I think water might be more me than fire :) (I think I like Ablaze better…) / /

SOME THINGS LOOK MORE BEAUTIFUL AT NIGHT AND ONE OF THE THEM IS LAKE CHELAN AT NIGHT . LOOK AT THE REFLECTION IN THE WATER, The Lake Chelan Valley sits in central Washington State, nestled in the North Cascades National Forest. The Chelan Valley encompasses the communities of Chelan, Manson & Stehekin. This pristine, 50.5 mile glacier-fed lake is 1.5 miles at its widest and 1486 ft. at its deepest point. The population of the valley consists of 10,000 year-round residents and several hundred more part-time residents. Roads extend less than halfway to the headwaters of Lake Chelan. Beyond the end of the road, rugged snowcapped peaks rise over 7,000 feet from the lakeshore. Dark evergreens cover the mountainsides. Deep valleys rise from the lake to massive glaciers in the heart of the North Cascades. At the upper end of Lake Chelan, limited, local roads do not connect the communities of Stehekin and Holden Village to the outside world. Background Information: / Peyto Lake is a glacier-fed lake located in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. The lake itself is easily accessed from the Icefields Parkway. It was named for Ebenezer William Peyto, an early trail guide and trapper in the Banff area. The lake is formed in a valley of the Waputik Range, between Caldron Peak, Peyto Peak and Mount Jimmy Simpson, at an elevation of 1,860 m (6,100 ft). During the summer, significant amounts of glacial rock flour flow into the lake, and these suspended rock particles give the lake a bright, turquoise color. Because of its bright color, photos of the lake often appear in illustrated books, and area around the lake is a popular sightseeing spot for tourists in the park. The lake is best seen from Bow Summit, the highest point on the Icefield Parkway. The lake is fed by the Peyto Creek, which drains water from the Caldron Lake and Peyto Glacier (part of the Wapta Icefield), and flows into the Mistaya River. I took this sometime in the summer in my bathroom. There was a giant spiderweb on the window so I sprayed it with water… most of it ended up on the window which is the bokeh you seen in the background. Enjoy!
