My visual design represents all of the things that I love in life. I placed a picture of myself in the center of all of these images because these are all of the important things that surround me everyday. In my picture I am facing away from the camera and running my fingers through my hair, which expresses deep thought. The expression on my face is a downcast gaze which also helps to depict the image of me thinking or dreaming because I appear to be distracted and unaware of the camera taking my picture. / My favorite color is almost every kind of blue which is why I used so many shades on my page. I thought that it would be interesting to display shapes of images instead of entire pictures, which might clutter the whole page. I knew that I had a lot to express and a limited amount of space to display everything in. The different shades also helped to provide a consistent theme throughout my page. / Each image represents a different emotion or aspect of my life. The paw prints and bone are symbols that represent my love for all animals, especially dogs. The thought bubble above my head, containing a crayon and a light bulb, expresses the importance of a creative and intelligent mind. The clouds to the upper left hand corner, represent the sky and my personal dreams at the same time, which are both very important to me because I have always appreciated and respected nature and also fought to follow my dreams and believe in myself as a person throughout my life. I also think that a person’s dreams are great tools for creativity which is important in every aspect of life. The heart represents love for my friends and family. The stars symbolize the night sky which has appealed to my throughout my life. I love the night sky and I always feel so at peace and comforted when I look at the stars. The treble and bass clef are arranged to make a heart, which represents my love and appreciation for music. I’ve been a performing musician in various local groups since 1997 and I plan to continue performing for the rest of my life.

Ink Rain emerged from doodles in the margins used as an aid to concentration in my mid school years. I have since developed my Ink Rain style into a unique and exciting art form. This style is based on the balance between small shapes and the corresponding white space. The style also uses smaller figures as shapes themselves to form part of the larger figure. The balance and contrast between the positive and negative spaces can be played with to form interesting patterns. The careful creation of the smaller shapes and their relation to one another gives the image a unique feel.
