Wow it’s really really raining hard whilst I’m putting this here now! Really raining I wish it would go where it is needed more in the world! This piece was once a guoache painting over an acrylic base layer. Please let me know if you would like to see this in a larger size.

Taken during our most recent 12 inch snow, I really wanted to captures the snow “freezing” (no pun intended) motion and I liked the colors on my daughter as a contrast against the snow. / Treasure Lake, Pennsylvania / canon 40d

Blue Orchids background
Blooming canola field against a beautiful Alberta blue sky
I was just fascinated when I drove by this blue wall today. The colours and textures just beckoned me. Plus, that bright green against the deep blue and the perfect shadow to fill in the rest of my composition made it irresistible. I was going to pass it by, as I was late for dinner, but then I backed up the car and jumped out to get my shots. Life is short – take pictures first. There is always food to be made and work to be done, but when light and form provide you with an opportunity such as this, you just can’t say no.

Snow or sea? What can you see?
We were really surprised to see this landscape about 2 hours north of where we live, we were geocahing in the jeep and the rocks below felt like terrain from another country, but no, it’s still part of God’s Country, Potter County, game road, Pennsylvania / canon 40d
