The rolling green hills of this region created a great layered effect as rain fell and I was able to feature this windmill and tank in the mist blue grey light. / Taken on Fuji S3 Pro / ISO 200 / f8 / 1/250 sec / 450mm focal length

Smaller artwork featuring a squid and whale. I really am fascinated by a lot of ocean life, especially the creatures that lurk in the deep, and I love drawings of old sea monsters and the like. This is only an 8 1/2×11” artwork but I am planning on making a much larger piece based off of this design at some point. I was also experimenting using some textured stock paper. For this piece I used colored pencils, paint and ink pens.
It’s not often I can get a photo of a tufted titmouse; these little spitfires are so fast, they’re gone by the time I adjust the camera. This one was a bit more leisurely, though, and gave me a split second to nab him. Got you Mr. T squared! (I got the idea for the title from my daughter in law Chrissy who calls me Mrs. B Squared (Bonnie Barry); she’s an engineer and thinks mathematically; I’m an English major and numbers are not my strength).

We benefit by having positive attitudes towards many things in life… even mud. I found this mud in the street of a small caribbean town, all dried up by the intense sun. I found it was so crisp and pretty!!! I did not step on it because I thought it was an interesting urban scene worthy of preserving. Even mud is beautiful!
My Harlequins are acting strange because they are “dying”, becoming extinct…we don’t want them anymore, we don’t need them anymore…:( / People forgot to laugh, people forgot to smile…the society does not make any effort to bring back the “rainbow colored” good disposition. / The Harlequins have so much to give to us, all we need to do is take it…all they want to see that we are happy. / Why to live if we can not give…..? THIS IS THE LAST PIECE I PAINTED IN 2009!...:( Original: / Acrylic on Canvas Panel, 12/24in Available. This painting was FEATURED in the “Art For The World” Group on Dec. 15. 2009.
