On the 12th day of May 2008 I witnessed (along with thousands of others) a perfect circle in the form of a rainbow around the sun at about noon-time at a beautiful place in the Philippines. Completely perplexed, stunned and amazed at this extraordinary and divine sight, I HAD to create this artwork. Im not sure where you were or what you were doing at this same moment of time but I guess this is all we have. Small pigments of time all squeezed together. And if we’re blessed enough, we get moments like these and realise even for a second the gravity of God’s love. There were no photo’s taken at the time and all I had available to me was the memory of this moment… The moment my heart burned. Print available. / Vector digital art created in illustrator.

Linaji wrote this great poem for this Art work , Thank you very much Lina you did it again . / please visit Linaji for more of her work. With love, I Forgive / Your love / And your lies / Balled up like wax / Dripping down the side of my fingers / Burning / Pain, / Heat / Tears / Dissolving a fragile string of kindness which has / Muddled and hardened with time Story after story goes thru my mind, / Till I am spent and drained at my own efficient ability / To fill in scenes I only think you might have played / A part in. / Uncovering again and again the deceit and the pain / That one morning you did bring. Long before I swore.. / Never again. / But the rabid dogs of Goodbye / I did unleash / Ready for your remains / To become festered with my own / Pain / My own despair. My eyes steel cold and grey / Pools of ice and determined / Chill. / That morning / When you lead me down the / Corridor of your will. Words diminished to / Graffiti sighs / And lovers’ cries. And now I am faced with / Time that has passed and the / Decorum of modern man / Spiritual leanings / And friends that remind me / I have a place in their hearts too. / Was Love all about you? The ending is near for all this / That was. / For all this that was. And now, / I paint and I create and I feel and I close / My eyes / A figure of light appears, / Dressed in royal colors / Dressed in abstract designs from a place beyond this one. / He takes my heart from my chest / And squeezes it hard / And like the wax of your love and your lies / It drips down the side of his fingers. / His lips are full and his smile is large. / He licks my blood and gives me the same. I only taste what I feel is Eternity and Peace. / And then, / He puts it back tenderly and instantly, / He is gone. / I am left with a thought that I repeat and use as my / Mantra, / My beacon back to Hope and Life. ‘With Love, I forgive’.

Bacchus (Roman Myth names), the god of wine, was the son of Jupiter and Semele. Dionysus (Greek Myth names), the god of wine, was the son of Zeus and Semele. He represents not only the intoxicating power of wine, but its social and beneficent influences likewise, so that he is viewed as the promoter of civilization, and a lawgiver and lover of peace. / T_SHIRT / ALSO AVAILABLE / AKINOLAUDE /

With Love I Should guide The gates of wake up banging , in my head / drew the calm lines on my gray paper sheet / waited for a sign of Hello , we are here shall we be / lost my love just days ago , heart broken i shall heal you so / come bad from places i did not need , but the wise take me to a level i have never been / shame i say, shame for people with blinded hearts / still the wise is the guide , and with love i shall guide too / one day when old and all that have passed you shall know my name / i shall let you go with love / and with love i shall guide you back to you.

The ancient Celtic god Cerrunos is known by many names, including the Stag King, Lord of the Hunt, Lord of the Wildwood, or Green Man. He’s portrayed with totems I personally associate with him. Lord of the Wildwood is the consort of the goddess portrayed in another painting on my RedBubble page titled ‘Lady of the Wildwood’. The hawk in this painting is the same goddess, perched upon her Half Side’s wrist and guised in the form of a raptor. She’s not a captive, but has voluntarily placed her heart in his safekeeping: note her heart on a string, so loosely entangled in his fingers. He guards it well and would never hold her against her will, nor attempt to prevent her taking flight. The empty place in her chest is where her heart once beat, now replaced by an hourglass shape. The hourglass motif symbolizes eternity, for they are lovers season after season, life after life, for all time. Below is an excerpt from what I’ve written about this image. The Stag King’s Song: “I am the masculine spirit of the woodland, male energy balanced and personified. I am the virile, high leaping stag, traversing the tangled and mysterious wildwood with fleet, sure hooves of darkness and light. I am the traveler of worlds, clear stag sight piercing the secret places existing between the dimensions of velvet shadow intertwined with cool, silvery moonlight. Neither bruised leaf, nor single cloven hoof print gathering water in the moist, nor dark mud beside the hidden spring marks my silent passing. Twilight, the crossroads time when day intersects night and the landscape is veiled and indistinct, is the doorway. Between the hours of dusk till dawn, I shed my human shell, and journey forth into other worlds. I dance. I dance until my thoughts flow from this dense dimension and enter the realm of ephemeral, transitory realities; No longer earthbound, I am the lengthening ray of golden fire shot from sun’s bow. Watch my trajectory crossing the encroaching night, caressing a hawk’s dark wing with my final, brief streak of flame as she arcs homeward to nest. I am the spark of playful intelligence flashing in otter’s eye – am indeed a fine, shining otter lithe of body and resilient of soul, rejoicing in the tumbling waters and white foam. I am the glint of light illuminating a perfect curve of ivory fang – wolf’s enigmatic smile; I see beyond the mask, perceive you for what you are. I am cougar, stealthy, silky, the color of dry leaves, and as I set my great, silent paw upon dry pine needles – hear my harsh, snarling cry. I am the masculine soul infusing the heart of the greenwood, and all wild things within and along her boundaries. I am male energy balanced, male energy personified”. This is actually a photo of the sky and an airplane contrail that is reflecting sunlight something like a rainbow. I increased the contrast with software to darken the contrail and concentrate the rainbow effect. There were no clouds! Shot with a telephoto. The framed area is all within the contrail. The blue strip is where the contrail was starting to break up.

Ge 1:9: ¶ And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. / Ge 1:10: And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. / Ge 1:11: And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. / Ge 1:12: And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. / Ge 1:13: And the evening and the morning were the third day. This is my entry into the For Living Christianity group competition, day three, Genesis. this is a sunset taken a couple of weeks ago here in Irvine, California a few years ago combined with several sunset images I took here in Mohave Valley, Arizona a couple of weeks ago. I used Photoshop CS3 to overlay the images. Then I used Photomatix to enhance the final image into an HDR image. The intent was to create the awsomeness of the creation of the Earth, unlike any other event in history. The power and beauty of our Awsome Creator. Images Do Not Belong To The Public Domain.
