On the 12th day of May 2008 I witnessed (along with thousands of others) a perfect circle in the form of a rainbow around the sun at about noon-time at a beautiful place in the Philippines. Completely perplexed, stunned and amazed at this extraordinary and divine sight, I HAD to create this artwork. Im not sure where you were or what you were doing at this same moment of time but I guess this is all we have. Small pigments of time all squeezed together. And if we’re blessed enough, we get moments like these and realise even for a second the gravity of God’s love. There were no photo’s taken at the time and all I had available to me was the memory of this moment… The moment my heart burned. Print available. / Vector digital art created in illustrator.

It has a dark and sombre feeling, much like how i was feeling at the time i created her. I used to laugh and carry on that my thoughts and my moods could ever be conveyed through a painting, and it was just silly that people reckoned they did so, but just look at me now….i cannot seem to prevent it happening these days!! lol…that’ll teach me to scoff :)

Ah, if only it were possible to fly away hanging from a balloon. It would be awesome to get away from the daily chores that way!

Watercolor on board. Title of the music that inspired this painting: “Spirit Horses” sung and written by Anne Humphrey I always kick up the sound for this song, it infuses me with good energy. Listening to it just now, when I checked the link, it had the usual effect – this song is so filled with truth and meaning that it my throat catch and my heart soar. Humphrey sings the way I feel, Trudell’s whisky and cigerette voice is the perfect vehicle for her words. Her words are powerful and when you listen to it, I think you’ll understand why. I met Trudell one time years ago, he’s an inspiring man who has come out the other side of tragedy. Check out his film, he’s one of my personal heros. Here’s what Ms. Humphrey says about this song: / “Spirit Horses is a song based on my mother’s story (Anne Dunn) about a boy who learns a dream song and uses it to call spirit horses, it tells of the tribe’s hope for a child of this generation to learn their song. “ More about Anne Check out “John Trudell’s”: http://www.johntrudell.com/bio.html poetry and music, too. / / Music: / Anne Humprey of Ojibwe Nation and Celtic heritage. Guest Singer John Trudell, Lakota Nation and Mexican heritage. Album: “The Heron Smiled”, Makoche Recording ENJOY!

Another image taken yesterday at the local beach, it’s quite simplistic really so I would love to hear some opinions.

I had a drawing called the keys to life and I decided to expand on that idea on canvas form….I took my write up from that one this one is 30”x30” x2” acrylic, inks, pencil, pastel I adore the piano I love when you see someone play and they are so full of passion that they become the music ….I had a family of piano players but was never still enough to learn …I thought when I was little that I would be one of those glam women draped over a piano singing the blues …but I sing very very badly and I am innately shy without the help of aid;) the notes I used on this was what a wonderful world…..
