Vibrant, flamboyant panting of the colorful homes and harbours found in the Atlantic Canada provinces and in the Maine, New England areas. I spent many vacations with my family in these beautiful quarters and there is something so heart warming about the architecture, harbours, the many seaside shops, cafes, and restaurants; and of course the beautiful ocean and all the fishing boats and seagulls. It reminds me of summer and the way it should be.
Fishermen on the pier at sunrise.
It’s all about love, and getting what you deserve in life. Not giving up, and sometimes we need support to keep us from giving up. And there is nothing wrong with that. It makes you a brave person. And it can be very funny sometimes. Always see the light side of life. /
Painting, acrylic. My dream, blue catfish.

I’ve been on a mission to conquer the abstract-a true measure of an artist, I think, as there is no ‘reality’ to compare it too, no likeness to draw close to. Just you. You decide to continue, or when to stop. When to use the ‘f’ word-as we used to tease our sculpture teacher>there is no such thing as ‘finished’. I think there is. the energy passes-it’s time-if you go over, it become overworked and pushed, forced. And therein lies the art.
Painting with corel painter and photoshop> Hours and Hours…............ figure is original and not a photographic morph….
this is my ghana; the ghana where women build the nation balancing work, motherhood and responsibility with feminine grace. the ghana where the infinite inner strength of its women reigns with the peace and tranquillity of their confidence of success. the ghana that carries all her burdens and never gives up, but just keeps looking ahead.

On Zazzle / On DeviantART / (repainted the face in June 2009 – haven’t updated it on redbubble yet, so see the DA version) All my mermaid artwork The pencil version (a year later) A New Dawn The little mermaid story, obviously. Although not the Disney version, the Hans Christian Andersen version, in which they’re a little wilder and more ethereal, and she dissolves into foam at the end. This was quite fun, I played with very washed out paint for the water and foam, it needs less blending after. / The tail is metallic paint, the hair is a mix. The eyes were annoying. ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet / four hours

Made with Ultra Fractal. At this beach, it’s always sunny, the waves are gentle and peaceful, and the old hippies like to gather there. Thank you very much for the support and faves.
