A 4 second exposure over Flinders on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria…This thunderstorm really got going and had me licking my lips with enthusiastic anticipation as frequent pulsating ‘blue’ and ‘purple’ tinged bolts screamed down from the heavens…a bit of a pity it weakened after 10minutes and 10km’s short of my location. / / / EOS A2, Fuji Velvia 50. / ©T.Middleton2008 —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— / / / see more of my weather related photography by clicking below / /

Botanical Gardens, Melbourne. Shot on infra-red film

This image was shot on transparency film and manipulated further using a Daylab printer and Polaroid pull apart film where the film is pulled apart before a positive can be processed. The dyes remaining on the Polaroid film were then transferred by rolling onto blotting paper. This is a very unique technique as you will never be able to reproduce the same image twice. There will always be a different amount of dye remaining on the film each time you do it making each image different from the last. More works created using this technique can be found here

a very very old analouge film image that is so degraded that the emulsion layer of the film is cracked all over like a lacey shawl. mental . and as its a very loco image anyway all I’ve done is desaturated it somewhat and left all the flaws and crook bits in .

A closeup of some frosty grass. The film had turned blue from the pre-sunrise light so I added just a bit to even it out. I loved the look.

this is the view I was lucky enough to have for a year. I had a really neato little flat the was the top back of a big old two story terrace in Enmore which is an inner city suburb of Sydney…. being upstairs I had to most wonderful view across the district across to the airport and there were some really amazing skys to be seen…. and photograph….. from there….. I loved it…... this shot is the morning sky above the row of little terrace houses behind me…....
