This wonderful air craft, aka hot air balloon was being inflated. This was part of an event called the xlta. These balloons are experimental, and for the most part home made. / Dragged my husband out of bed at 4 am for this one! ;o) / Whately, Massachusetts, USA
Another altered image,I can make a spectre in this one, looks a bit wild, what can you see
Recent XLTA event in western Massachusetts provided this stars and stripes balloon for me! / As you can see the pilot is on a small seat with the gas tank strapped to his back! / “Those daring young men in their flying machines” ! / These aircraft are experimental and mostly homemade. / This is a Fathers’ Day card, but also available with personalized text or no text. / Copyright 2009 Linda Jackson / Like what you see? Another in my new abstract photography series, and again, like “Octarine” a photo in the strictest sense (minimal retouching). Believe it or not, the subject matter is tall grass shot in reflection against a sheet of mylar (silvery polyester). The color is from an intentionally incorrect camera setting. Something about it reminds me of Joseph Turner’s paintings. The title is reference to the human spirit.
This strikingly colorful shot was taken in the evening, and the half moon was there to co-operate! / Pioneer Valley, Massachusetts, June, 2009 / XLTA event. / Personalized text available. / Thank you for your purchases! / Like what you see? More at: / http://www.zazzle.com/bluebirdcanflyphotos*
