  • This is a photo of my niece that I shot before I had a digital camera. I scanned the photo, added it over and image by CruelDreams that I edited in ps by using the channel mixer, dodging, burning, cloning and added text. Took a photo of a butterfly and selected each wing section separately and cut and moved them into position using transform. Adjusted the opacity of those layers to give each wing section a transparent appearance. Painted with the airbrush tool on a lower opacity over the wings to make the colors tie in with the costume. Also used the airbrush with warm color to add the effect of light coming from her wand illuminating the darkness around her and added touches to her and her wings where I felt the light would hit.

Strange how the image I intend to make is never the final result. But I’m usually happier when that happens… Endless Silence by ATB ....Stock Credits…. / Sky / Model / Stock copyrights remain the property of their respective owners.

  • The close of a warm Summer’s day at Fairy Dell, Clifton Springs with the remains of The Long Jetty stretching toward the horizon. Pentax istDS Camera. Three exposures bracketed to create an HDR image.

  • Here’s my oldest boy paddling out just like me to watch the sunset after a very hot summer’s day. And yes, here I’m also in the water after him with the camera! / It’s similar to ‘My sunset’ but I wanted to share this one also :o) Nikon D200 / 18-200mm lens / processed in RAW with only the contrast and colour slightly upped, the rest is all real! No photoshop as I have already been asked.

  • Loved this boat sitting so calm on the Noosa River, as I was sitting there waiting for the sunset colours to intensify, this seagull started feeding off bait fish on the surface.. Bit of a shame he wasn’t facing me, but still happy :) Noosa River, Noosaville, Queensland. Canon 50D, 14mm. Available large, and definately best viewed large!

  • First storm to hit the area in over 6 months, I was so excited!! Straight to my chosen spot and took hundreds of shots, just waiting for that moment. The sky was so extreme, there was no wind, no rain, just the crazy clouds, and lightning! The rain of course was close, but I managed to get this before it started to pour :) Noosa River, Noosaville, Queensland. the boat is the same subject in River Living and I was very thankful it was still for this to work. Canon 50D, 10mm, 16:9 crop. Available large, and best viewed large! :)

  • Softly, as in a morning sunrise / The light of love comes stealing / Into a new born day—oh / Flaming with all the glow of sunrise / A burning kiss is sealing / The vow that all betray / For the passions that thrill love / And lift you high to heaven / Are the passions that kill love / And let you fall to hell / So ends the story / Softly, as in an evening sunset / The light that gave you glory / Will take it all away I was listening to this wonderful song and I had to do a painting in response to the lyrics…written by Hammerstein and Romberg, the song was recorded by every one under the sun…poignant and heartbreaking, it has always resonated with me…I hope the painting does the same with you. Painted All Prima in Acrylic on Canvas. MUSIC FEATURED IN THE FOLLOWING GROUPS.. / Feminine Intent. / Watermedia. / Image Writing / Impressionist Art.

  • Featured in The Keystone State – Pennsylvania group August 20, 2009. / Top Ten in ””Hot Shot” of the Keystone Group Shoot in Lancaster Area” challenge in The Keystone State – Pennsylvania group August 19, 2009. / Featured in All Original Fusion August 19, 2009. / Featured in Statues And Such August 16, 2009. Best On Full Size I spied this beautiful carousel horse at Ann Rodriguez’s farm near Manheim PA when we visited on Saturday, August 8, 2009 with the The Keystone State – Pennsylvania group. I’ve always loved carousel horses and felt so bad that they could never jump off their track and just frolic in a beautiful field somewhere like their living counterparts. When I saw this guy, I fell completely in love and couldn’t stop playing with him with my camera and then in Photoshop!! The horse’s image was taken near Manheim, PA with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr lens on August 8, 2009, shutter speed was 1/250, aperture was f/8. The image of the flowers was taken on April 18, 2009 with the Nikon D40x and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens, shutter 500, aperture f/5.6. I’ve added a texture layer from CGTextures (thanks to RavenSoul ) and did a bit of erasing of the original background, then layered it all with the floral image I took when I was in Arizona from the gardens of San Jose de Tumacacori, near Tucson in April of this year. I like to think that any any minute the poles will fall away and our little friend’s dreams of racing through the buttercups will come true!! Sorry Annie!! Texture courtesy of CGTextures

  • Sometimes I get so engrossed in my thoughts that I see what is not there more than what is there, this was one of those moments. / When it happens I work very fast. / 9”x12” oil on linen

  • Rota Island – August 2009 / straight out of the camera / Life on this island is friendly and unhurried and the hospitality is as unforgettable as the magical sunsets. Rota Island is a natural playground with around 3000 inhabitants and is known by many to be Micronesia’s best-kept secret / Rota (Chamoru: Luta) also known as the “peaceful island”, is the southernmost island of the United States Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) and the second southernmost of the Marianas Archipelago. It lies approximately 40 miles north-northeast of the United States territory of Guam. Songsong village is the largest and most populated followed by Sinapalo village (Sinapalu). In 1521, the first European to see Rota, was the lookout on Magellan’s ship Victoria, Lope Navarro. However, Magellan’s Armada of three ships didn’t stop until they reached Guam, so the first European to arrive in Rota (in 1524), was Spanish navigator Juan Sebastian Elcano, who annexed it together with the rest of the Marianas Archipelago on behalf of the Crown of Spain. Rota has diverse flora and fauna.. / Wikipedia ©2009/2010 Globalphotos All rights reserved. / All photographs, text and images by Globalphotos are the exclusive property of Globalphotos – protected under Australian and international copyright laws. / These images may not be reproduced, copied or manipulated without written permission. / No use for Public Domain. / Use of any image for another photographic concept or illustration is a violation of copyright.

  • A scene I have often passed by, but either the light was wrong, or I didn’t have the time. / On this occasion, things fell into place, except for the fact that I had left my tripod at home !! DOH !! (on a shopping trip for provisions to Fort William !) / It is a hand-held three shot hdr, because of the extreme lighting. / Loch Lochy is reputed to have a “monster” like Loch Ness ! Shot on my Canon EOS50D, iso 100, auto wb, three RAW’s at -2EV, +2EV,0EV, hand held braced against a bush for added stability, Canon 17-85mm IS lens set at 53mm, f11, processed in Photomatix, then Adobe CS3, with colour adjustments, and more selective levels / curves.
