A photo of a muddy puddle with enhanced reflections.
this gang of Adelie penguins gave me a great opportunity for quite a series of entertaining photographs as they zoomed busily about their icy playground. This photo has become a symbol of connection and friendship among my own personal group of nearest and dearest friends.
I was trying to capture the whole environmental aspect here…..and what may happen in the future if changes are not made…(its already happening – photo was taken in Tumut last year).
This shot is taken in the north of Rwanda near the DR Congo border. It showcases the absurd beauty of this broken land. Known as the land of one thousand hills Rwanda is bursting at the seams. This shots is part of the ‘world’s most expensive card’ promotion initiated by John Robb. It has raised close to $700 AUD so far.
Camping a couple of nights at this beautiful spot was almost surreal…surrounded by tropical rainforest and the calcium rich waters from flowing through limestone country made it look even more idyllic – seclusion,isolation..add some fantastic company and a natural heaven is there.. as always – thanks for viewing and yes these are/were the actual colours of the original transperancy. / / EOS A2, Fuji Velvia 50. / ©T.Middleton2007 / view this image large bubblesite / photography blog / portfolio ©T.Middleton2009 —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——

This is obviously not an original idea, and I want to thank both ECGardner and Angelique Brunas for their works along these lines that motivated me to explore my own creativity. I hope they do not mind my using their work as a basis for my inspiration, and I am still working to achieve the balance, beauty, and artistry they have exhibited through their respective nature based collages! I will give folks a while to guess what the various panes are comprised of, they should be pretty easy to figure out, later I will insert the proper descriptions of their contents. As always I can not say often enough how wonderful the Redbubble community is and how happy I am to have found it during it’s infancy so that I may grow along with it into a more complete and accomplished artist! / / / / Portfolio Areas / / Tigers / Wildlife / Macro / Landscape / Birds / Abstracts / Cats~wild and domestic

The real “Stairway To Kevin” is a music shop in nearby Leura Mall, approached by …. stairs. Yes, they do have Led Zeppelin, and also a fine collection of folk and jazz. Alas, no Kevin. I have always loved Sea urchins and have always collected them from when i was a child right up into adulthood. They would be the first thing I would look for when I got out of my car and my feet hit the sand on the beach. Suprisingly there arent that many to be found anymore on the beach where I have always gone to find them. sony ax 300 SLR 70 – 200ml lense.

acrylic/oil/wax/graphite on canvas 60” x 36” / This is the final painting in the Extinction series The work owes a huge debt to my friend CC Arsharga and his wonderful poem ‘I am the whale of poems’ Go ahead and eat me / For you are the reasons of teeth and claw / You are the cries of reality is / You are a killer of whales Because you can / Because you care not with your mighty ways / Because you are a hunger that feeds aimlessly / Because you love greed / Because your ego is sick / Because you die daily into nothing in order to exist / Because your mother is your food / Because you are lifeless at the heart of the world feeds you / Because your future is futile / Because your truth has no known equilibrium / Because you love these words / Because you feel them stab you / Because you bleed / Because your extinction matters not / Because you want to be as brave as dying / Because … you understand this poem still You have no cause to own the deeds that you are / Because life’s carcass holds no sacred value to you / Because you cannot kill yourself with your own reasons / Because you are a coward in the oceans of selfishness / And I am just the whale of poems And you hate poems / And you do not even care if your own soul is hunted For you are the predator who fears to admit / You are the very same prey © Copyright 1/20/2008 C.C. natural design is definitely a favorite subject for me . Hope you enjoy . Captures take in fort Myers, waters, Florida USA . Florida has so many great places to paddle. No state can match its variety of water – lakes, inlets, lagoons, rivers, streams, springs, ocean and a gulf – accessible 365 days a year! And, there seems no better way to explore this vast network of water than by canoe. It’s easy to cast away your cares and find peace and relaxation among Florida’s matchless beauty – there’s nothing like the quiet of Mother Nature to soothe and give you a fresh outlook on things. An added bonus is the many opportunities to see wildlife along the way – white and blue herons, turtles, alligators, and sandhill cranes to name a few. So, pack a picnic and test your spirit of adventure… discover the “real” Florida. Almost 50 of Florida’s State Parks permit canoing, with over half of those offering equipment rentals, so no matter where you are in the state, chances are you are close to water. Here are some of the more popular locations for setting out on your adventure… source of info

3200 ISO is a brave new world for me. As a self confessed low ISO junkie, one who used Ektar 25 film whenever and wherever he could for many years because I wanted tight grain, the tighter the better, I would pull out all the stops I could to use that amazing ISO 25 film! For sure I’d never gone above ISO 1000 and then only to shoot indoor sporting events. Low ISO was(?) a hang-up for me! But I wanted to try astral photography and high ISO can get you there! However as we all know high ISO leads to increased noise which is something fairly new to me. You can use software and Photoshop plugins but I’ve been considering, one way to control noise would be to minimize or eliminate it by keeping the ISO as low as possible and that’s one way I‘m leaning. So in that regard it looks like a fast 50 prime is in order! It’s fun to be experimenting and learning, eh! Camera Model Canon EOS 50D / Tv( Shutter Speed ) 30 / Av( Aperture Value ) 3.5 / ISO Speed 3200 / Focal Length 18.0mm / Flash at 1/16 power and about 12 or 13 paper towels for diffusion. “One Night Under the Milky Way” was shot at Flamber Head on Newfoundland’s East Coast Trail For more information please visit Brian’s Homepage or on Flickr
