I took this shot on Bell Island, if you look closely at the base of the cliff you can see a natural tunnel that has been bored through the rock by the water and out to the other side. This wee boat sits in Cockenzie Harbour on the shores of the River Forth near Edinburgh in Scotland. I think its one of my best images to date. It was shot on a Nikon D70 which has since given up. I now shoot with a D200 but I do still miss my D70. I have another online portfolio at www.artwanted.com/robinbrown. I have some 275 images there at any one time. It will take me a wee while to get my Redbubble portfolio up to that number of images but then Rome wasn’t built in a day. / Thanks for viewing. /

Sales of this Design? – 1 sale so far :) / / ’’Asian Series’ card by Karin Taylor This is one of my favourite pieces in the oriental series. / Two little friends falling asleep in their little boats whilst fishing for their supper. / I really enjoyed mixing the colours for this painting, I used colour swatches from paint charts to decide on the colour scheme, and just went to work intuitively mixing til I got the right colours…they are grungier than my other pics and I love the effect…hope you like them too :D

The “Conversation Piece” consists of 22 copper-bronze statues near The Groyne lighthouse at Littlehaven Beach, South Shields. Designed by Spanish artist Juan Munoz they have been a talking point for the last few years. Oddly, from a distance you can never be sure who is talking to who – human or statue!

been playing with some new cokin filters, this was taken using a combination of orange and blue, they are so much fun and you can use any combinations for different effects. / This is Roker lighthouse in Sunderland, it was a gorgeous day up here !!! taken with / canon eos400d / cokin orange and blue grad filters / tripod / remote / wet knees / ruined shoes

A HDR image of Lake Dillon, CO from the East side at sunset. It had snowed all the week before and the lake was iced over, reflecting the sunset beautifully.

I have her on a black tshirt under the name ‘Little Kimino Blue’ but she isn’t actually wearing a kimono, although she wears an obi…...Asia Blue is wearing a mixed costume, half chinese half japanese…...so I will just call her ‘Asia Blue’ for ease ….as there has been quite a bit of confusion over this :) I wanted to have ‘Asia Blue’ on other coloured tshirts, as well as the black, so here she is, more coming soon !

This yellow dory was tied to the wharf for the winter. The boat launch had quite a steep angle to it… you can see the ocean far below, so the dory was secured with these blue ropes.I loved the contrast between the yellow boat and the blue ropes holding it securely. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / laminated print / /

The fish are landed here and taken straight away to restaurants across the road, totally divine !!!! queues begin to form from late morning for this delicious bounty !!!

A morbid history of St. John’s… the hill in the background is known as Gibbets Hil, it is where all the criminals were hung in public executions. The body of water at the base of the hill is where the executioner would throw the bodies when they were dead. The pond is known as “Dead Man’s Pond”. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /
