This is the second HDR image shot the other day on my girlfriend’s property.. I was inspired to try my hand at an HDR involving a dam after seeing some of the brilliant work here on the Bubble.. I think it turned out well and I liked how the image almost looks as though it is bent if you look at the tree line.. / As always comments are most welcome! Thanks a lot for looking! Franz Josef Glacier, New Zealand While climbing the glacier I had to lay on my belly on the ice while my friend held the back of my jacket cause I kept sliding down – would’ve been a long bumpy ride to the bottom.
This was taken at St Clair Beach, Dunedin, New Zealand, in summer. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera. This was featured in the Timber and Water group, 2 weeks ago.
©Angi Baker / Inspired By: 3 Doors Down / MUSIC / A hundred days have made me older / Since the last time that I saw your pretty face / A thousand lies have made me colder / And I don’t think I can look at this the same / But all the miles that separate / Disappear now when I’m dreaming of your face I’m here without you baby / But you’re still on my lonely mind / I think about you baby / And I dream about you all the time / I’m here without you baby / But you’re still with me in my dreams / And tonight it’s only you and me The miles just keep rollin’ / As the people leave their way to say hello / I’ve heard this life is overrated / But I hope that it gets better as we go I’m here without you baby / But you’re still on my lonely mind / I think about you baby / And I dream about you all the time / I’m here without you baby / But you’re still with me in my dreams / And tonight babe it’s only you and me Everything I know, and anywhere I go / It gets hard but it wont take away my love / And when the last one falls / When it’s all said and done / It gets hard but it wont take away my love I’m here without you baby / But you’re still on my lonely mind / I think about you baby / And I dream about you all the time / I’m here without you baby / But you’re still with me in my dreams / And tonight babe it’s only you and me Inspired by My Friends 3 Doors Down / Brad, Todd, Matt, Chris & Greg
More infrared….I’m obsessed again.
Bit of an experiment this….....Not sure whether I like it or not yet – whaddya think. / Honest opinion please, I wont be offended if you rag it to death. The original photo on which it was based was a dreary looking long exposure, almost night thing, of a view from Mortons Overlook in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the USA, with fog in the valley, and a missed sunset. I added a replacement sunset from the same day (slightly different position), and traces of a distant hill on the right. Then I picked out odd bits of treeline from an underexposed photo from the same vantage point, added a blue gradient, and a red, then blended the lot together and reduced the noise. It isnt perfect, I know, but I began to get annoyed with where it wasnt going, and stopped before I made matters worse. Thanks Squealia – Hope this mod is better. NB – Most pleasantly surprised – this was a featured image in the Smoky Mountain Masterpieces on 16th Aug 2008 – Thanks Guys n Gals.

A work not of my usual style, This is Pretty much as is, I did amp up the colour to make it a little more vibrant but that is pretty much it, Thats why I have added this one. Sorry if you were expecting more meaning and feeling. Lights may guide you, they may take you on the right path, but do not be fooled into thinking it is the only way, for you may come to the end of the path and find nothing but empty, cold, dark nothing is in font of you. The key is to just turn back and find another path, at least you now know this is not the way. Do not get held up thinking it is wasted time, for travelling the wrong path is the only true way to knowing what is and isn’t your fate. / The Brightest beginnings may be the Darkest ends. So be weary. Featured in: / Photography 101 / Colour Me A Rainbow D90

Sixth artwork in my new Wonderland series, based off of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” ”`Well!’ thought Alice to herself, `after such a fall as this, I shall think nothing of tumbling down stairs! How brave they’ll all think me at home! Why, I wouldn’t say anything about it, even if I fell off the top of the house!’ (Which was very likely true.) – “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” Original artwork measures approx. 12.5×19” and was created with oil pastels, colored pencils, metaliic silver pens, and marker. This is a scan of the image, so you can’t see the silver highlights on this piece (they look gray in the scan) through Alice’s hair and dress. View more of my artwork at www.lynnetteshelley.com

My new found love in photography is mixing layers and layers of images. I have already had some wonderful finds of layered work in reflections but this kind of editing brings it to a whole other level. Finding what works well with another image is a challenge. But one that I enjoy very much. I have learned the in’s and out’s of working with layers by trial and error. If you’re thinking of giving this a try, I hope you will give your self time and not worry about the failures. The result is so worth the frustration of figuring it all out!! /
