Taken in the bush near Alice Springs. Waiting for the sun to come up and saw this dead tree and just had to take a shot with all the colours behind it.

The varying layers of cloud created wonderful variations in colour in this sunset. I was lucky enough to spot a dead tree on a nearby hill to create a great silhouette. Taken on Victorian side of Hume Weir out past Bellbridge.

The complete and real title is : “Poupée – InnerSelf”. I asked to myself : Stars… They bright the sky, our eyes, our mind & soul. They are inside of us. We always look for them, for these glimpses of lights and happiness. / Do we really know ourselves? / Do we realize that we have all of this inside of us? / What are we in fact? / As we don’t really look in the correct place, we don’t really know ourselves i decided to ‘almost’ delete the face. A morbid history of St. John’s… the hill in the background is known as Gibbets Hil, it is where all the criminals were hung in public executions. The body of water at the base of the hill is where the executioner would throw the bodies when they were dead. The pond is known as “Dead Man’s Pond”. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

Same place as Emergence & Nirvana. Lightsmith issued a challenge to try and come up with 4 photographs of the same area but to make them look different. I’ve decided to take him up on the challenge. Hopefully I’m going OK so far…

Based on the beautiful song of the same name written by Mr. Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish. Their music is a neverending source of inspiration for me. I wanted to give something back… “Born from silence, silence full of it / A perfect concert my best friend / So much to live for, so much to die for / If only my heart had a home Sing what you can`t say / Forget what you can`t play / Hasten to drown into beautiful eyes / Walk within my poetry, this dying music / - My loveletter to nobody Never sigh for better world / It`s already composed, played and told / Every thought the music I write / Everything a wish for the night Wrote for the eclipse, wrote for the virgin / Died for the beauty the one in the garden / Created a kingdom, reached for the wisdom / Failed in becoming a god Never sigh… “If you read this line, remember not the hand that wrote it / Remember only the verse, songmaker`s cry, the one without tears / For I`ve given this its strength and it has become my only strength. / Comforting home, mother`s lap, chance for immortality / Where being wanted became a thrill I never knew / The sweet piano writing down my life” “Teach me passion for I fear it`s gone / Show me love, hold the lorn / So much more I wanted to give to the ones who love me / I`m sorry / Time will tell (this bitter farewell) / I live no more to shame nor me nor you And you… I wish I didn`t feel for you anymore…” A lonely soul… An ocean soul…”
