  • Tank Trap #3
    by Mel Brackstone

    US$5.70–US$152.00

Took this on Stockton Bight, a long series of sand dunes that stretch from Anna Bay to Newcastle. These traps were placed to protect Williamtown air base (I believe) during World War II. 26km or so of these, 2m high concrete reinforced pyramids, and now all you can find is this small group, situated in a sand blow. Even they come and go depending on the wind. We took a tour from Anna bay, to see the tank traps, tin city and the wreck of the Sygma(?) I think the tank traps were the highlight for me OTHER NEW ZEALAND / FROGS / LENSBABY / INFRARED / BEACH / SPAM / PANORAMAS / LANDSCAPES / INDUSTRIAL

    by Jeremy Harrington

This is my latest little foray into the world of IR photography.. After looking through my gallery I decided that I desperately needed to get out and take some more shots, especially infrared ones.. / This was taken down at the same place that my Deserted World image was taken. / It was unfortunately the only IR shot that worked out today because I stupidly forgot to set the custom WB before heading out and didnt realise til I had finished all my shots so I then quickly rushed this one before heading home. / I hope you like it and as with all my work comments are more than welcome, whether complimenting or critiquing. • Hi guys, I hope you will enjoy this one as I had fun creating it? You will remember this shot from my collection as it is the same shot as before but through tweaking here and there and a bit of this and that and a bit of luck in Photoshop Elements 5, I have turned it into a photograph painting. If anyone wants to know how to do it send me a bubble mail and I’ll send it to you in a couple of days once I have it on paper! What are your thoughts and comments on it? And by the way thank you all so much for looking at this shot and all the others in my collection. The grass is always greener on the other side…right? / / Just a photo I snapped while we were driving through Phoenix this weekend. I thought it kinda resembled the grass and sky (well, the colours help). It’s like our own urban lawn of sorts that you can only really see from a distance. / / Feb 08, Phoenix / / A poem was written by one of my personal favorites: sometimes green sometimes blue by the extremely talented Yasemin Sumner / / check her out! / /

  • Red Steel Blue Denim
    by Paul Vanzella

    US$4.99–US$133.00

Or should I say blue steel – looks like Zoolander in 50 years time found his way to this awesome industrial area on the outskirts of a small town in Northern Italy. Wearing black shades and boot-cut denim with a black blazer he’s man who knows where he’s going judging by that authoritative stride. Oh, by the way, the pines, steel tower and red container really caught my eye as they created some real depth for the foreground components to work against.
