I was in Snow Mass near Aspen, Colorado, for Balloon Glow. At dusk the balloons were inflated. The crowd counted down and all the balloons were lit up at the same time. It was a spectacular scene with the storm clouds moving in. The clouds lit up with the glow. This was the culmination of a wonderful evening which included some of the best barbeque I’ve ever had.

At Day’s End As the sun goes down over the front range mountains of Denver, Colorado, the Sunflowers turn, in anticipation of the sun coming back up in the morning. Photographed in a field where all you can see for miles and miles is Sunflowers….billions of Sunflowers. This is from a trip we took to see my sister .. we were on the road and this called to us ..it had a very fast river coming out of it which crashed downstream for miles. Garden Of the Gods Park, outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is without a doubt one of my all time favorite places to shoot at….the light there just dances, especially during the golden hours just after sunrise…..Pike’s Peak is in the background, with the wind blowing the snow into the sky. / Thoughts welcomed! This image was taken in March of 2007 on my way back from Evergreen, Colorado when I was there helping my Mother with a broken ankle. As I was driving back I noticed the spectacular cloud formations around me and found this place off a side road. The sun set and the colors and mood were timeless. I snapped the image and knew right away this would be a keeper.

One of our family’s favorite vacation spots is Pagosa Springs in Colorado. We love soaking in the hot springs pools, play in the swimming pool or in San Juan River, go fishing, or just enjoy the nature and all the beauty around.
