Inspiration is but a muse; and, this shirt has lots of it for you to use! / CREATION INFORMATION Medium: Digital Collage, Typography, Mixed Media Design, Digital Art, T-Shirt Design. Tools: Digital Camera, Photoshop CS2. Shooting Location: The Getty Center – Los Angeles, CA. NOTES: The woman in this creation is actually a digital image shot at The Getty and then digitally manipulated into the collage. The original art is on showcase at The Getty. It is a chalk sketch entitled “Study of a Woman Turned Toward the Left” and created by Charles-Antoine Coypel. I was very moved by the piece and was inspired to photograph it. I then wanted to share that inspiration via collage with other artists. Once again, this image was captured by myself while visiting the museum and was NOT taken from online (it has a higher resolution). You can view more information about the piece here. / ALSO AVAILABLE / Wise Words Cards & Wall Art /

I own outright the entire collection of work done by W Fredericksen / circa 1947 to 1976. The collection contains work, based on collage format; many of the themes, reflect the political and emotional state of the times. Fredericksen used newspapers, magazines and wrapping material available at hand and embelished each piece with hand painted details using paints, ink and sometimes sequines. / I have manipulated digitaly some of the images; not to improve them, but more to broaden there use. / I hope you enjoy this collection as I release it for the first time, as much as I have over the years.
