This berg was as big as a house! We were bobbing around in a little lifeboat so we could be close to these and get some photos. Our main ship, the Skorpios III, although happy to plough through ice flows would not venture closer than 1 kilometre to the glacier face. The glacier in the background is the Pope Pio XI, the largest glacier (I think) in South America. Southern Patagonia, Chile.

Maunaleo ~ Journey With Spirit This is one of my signature pieces, a composite of seven of my images blended into one using photographs I have taken on the lava seacliffs of Wa’ianapanapa Maui Hawai’i blended with Alaska skies and an enormous full moon. Maunaleo ~ Journey With Spirit is dedicated with deepest respect and appreciation for Keali’i Reichel. This beautiful mele is one of my favourites and I love the gentle power of his angelic voice!! Rock formations at low tide. Taken with my 5D and the EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM lens. This is a 82mm lens and I am currently using Cokin Filters (handheld).....uuuuurrgh. I am very keen to get a Lee Neutral Density Filter set. If you have this setup I would be very interested to hear from you what experiences you have made in regards to vignetting and what Lee components you have mounted on your lens. Thanks heaps

Happy New Year everyone! This shot was taken at the Sunshine Coast just before Christmas 2007….well it’s an old shot isn’t it. Taken with my Canon 5D and the EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L II USM Lens. No Filter has been used but I did some fake HDR processing (single shot) using Dynamic Photo HDR. It’s a fun program and a great alternative to Photomatix.

Elephant Rocks, William Bay National Park, Western Australia (near Denmark) This national park is one of my favourite places on Earth. I was lucky to visit recently with my sister, climbing around the rocks and beaches for hours. Only we had to share it with a few snakes that were making the most of the spring sunshine!

This composite, a matrix panoramic image I created using four of my photographs taken on Makena Beach Maui Hawai’i. Gerald May writes in The Awakened Heart ~ “There is a secret set within each of our hearts.
