At Day’s End As the sun goes down over the front range mountains of Denver, Colorado, the Sunflowers turn, in anticipation of the sun coming back up in the morning. Photographed in a field where all you can see for miles and miles is Sunflowers….billions of Sunflowers. An entire sea of yellow and gold….caught in my lens for a fleeting instant, where the whole world was at peace…. On a frosty june morning I found myself to the top of a local range near Geranium in the Souther Mallee looking at one of the most brilliant sunrise’s I have ever seen. The warm glow of the sun across the clouds and the shifting light made me forget about the the freezing temperatures I was working in.

I never did get around to posting all my autumn shots….so here’s another one…there’s a huge group of photogs all massed across the other side, trying to jostle for position on shifting reed beds and yuckky mud, and further across there’s a couple more. I gave up waiting over that side, and moved to the western edge to see what I could see…..now you can see what I could see :) This was processed in NZ with photomatix, back when I was probably a little overwhelmed by the colour….I might reprocess it and see if I like it better with my newer techniques New Zealand / Seascapes / Frogs / Lensbaby / Infrared / Industrial / Spam / Panorama / Landscapes / Real Estate Series / People

Garden Of the Gods Park, outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is without a doubt one of my all time favorite places to shoot at….the light there just dances, especially during the golden hours just after sunrise…..Pike’s Peak is in the background, with the wind blowing the snow into the sky. / Thoughts welcomed! Taken on October 28th 2007 near my mother’s place on the North East coast of Québec..It also happened to be the day that Grand mother passed away… I think that the wind were taking her away…
