Sorry to all those who don’t like “pets and babies” photos… ;) This is my kitty trying to catch a fly on the window last night… The sun was coming down into our living room which gave that nice glow on one side of his face. I was originally going to make it all black & white but I just couldn’t bring myself to leave his gorgeous blue eye out! Update 22/03/2009: / Thanks to all your comments this photo is now on page #1 of the “most popular pictures of all times”! This is Lego. / (part Siamese). His eyes are shockingly blue.. / and as you might have guessed..he likes Lego’s. / He, along with his 5 siblings & pregnant mother, is kind / enough to allow me to continue living here with them. :-/

My British blue shorthair cat called Sapphire Blue or Saffy, for short. She just loves getting into boxes, sleeping on top of boxes etc. She is great company even when she is sleeping. I used a Canon DSLR EOS 350D with flash for this shot.

This piece was recently part of an exhibition. My cat, Muffin found a new grey cat in the neighbourhood and is very fond of it. They now hang out together quite a bit. Yiddie Kitty © Vicki Ferrari / This is Yiddie when he was a little baby, back in 1991. His ears were huge but he grew into them, and his nose grew broader as well! He was rescued by a friend from a coal mine at Collinsville, North Queensland and he was with me until 1999 when he had to be put down because of kidney disease. That was a very sad time but the joys that I experienced from him being in my life outweighed the grief of his leaving – and he is still in my heart and always will be, and I still miss him! My gorgeous monster! This is a scan from the 8X12 print in one of my early portfolios. Only basic editing done – it is as it is. Thanks for sharing Yiddie with me! Framed Print /

My kitty, Aurora after a “whirlwind” play session of about 10 minutes NONSTOP….completely exhusted laying on the hallway floor! This was such a CUTE picture…I just had to grab my camera, and hope she didn’t move when she saw me! Aurora is a rescued kitty. Frankie, a Ragdoll, has made himself at home as you can see. This shot was taken just before he took a nap on Tuesday afternoon January 6th 2009. In two weeks he has grown quite a bit and is a handful. Leaping, jumping, chasing anything, when he is not sleeping, eating or pooping. He is cuddled up on my husband’s T-shirt, draped over my husband’s office chair in the home office, while I am sitting at my computer. All the light on his head and fur is from the window just behind him. Frankie was rescued from the streets on Tuesday December 23/08 by my son Kevin. I’ve been playing with an older Minolta flash on my Canon 50D. I’m considering buying a new flash, but I still want to practice more, and be 100% that I really NEED or even WANT one. Flash fired and bounced off wall or ceiling, can’t remember which.
