Mid-April and we get a considerable covering of snow. Global warming, maybe? It provided a lovely crisp and sunny Sunday morning, but the sun made sure that the wintery scenes were not around for long as the majority of the snow had gone by midday.

Inhanced close up of Eucalyptus buds, then Hue/Saturation changed to these lovely blues and pinks, almost looks like an alien landscape.
I can’t believe how these roses just keep going in my garden – I am told to cut them right back now and then next year they will be grand, tbh I don’t and they just keep coming back for more – although this has to be the last of them for this year surely!! This one looked so pretty this morning in the aftermath of last nights rain!
A flowering shrub that I think was confused. It was budding in late December up in Pennsylvania in 20 degree weather. But I was glad I was able to use it as a subject lol. As Is (just turned black & white and tinted blue/green) / Canon Rebel XT / Pittsburgh, PA
Taken in a bluebell wood in Ardingly, West Sussex yesterday…. the carpet of blue is just coming out in bloom. Using Pentax Optio S4i – 18-Apr-09

Allium Moly / Colour: Yellow / Flowering: June – July / Height: Up to 12” (30 cm) / Family: Liliaceae / Allium Moly ~ There are many different species of Allium, some found in the wild and some cultivated specially for the garden. They vary greatly in their flowers and foliage. Allium Moly is a native of Southern Europe. The bright yellow flowers appear in groups up to 5 cm across. Each star-shaped flower comprises six pointed petals. / The leaves are long, narrow and grey/green. / Love how this was growing along with the bluebells. / I used a Kodak Z650 EasyShare Digital with a 10X Zoom /
