If you had to choose between the Newtonian Law or the Theory of Invariants which would you choose? The planet Mercury during its elliptical orbit advances according to Newtonian Physics about 1/557th of a degree every century this occurs at the time Mercury is at its closest to the Sun. The Theory of Invariants is accurate and shows that the change is 1/600th of a degree and has been proven to be more accurate. Every time you use a GPS (Global Positioning System) device you inadvertently prove the Theory of Invariants. By now you are scratching your head since you may never have heard of that Theory in Physics but you know it under a different name but the equation is known by everyone. Albert Einstein ended up calling it the Theory of Relativity. So what is in a name? If Albert Einstein would have had his way we would be talking about the Theory of Invariants which really does not trip off the tongue very well but then again everything is relative or so Einstein proved. The water around this place is absolutley amazing – the most beautiful blues I have ever seen…unfortunately not so good for capturing in IR…but I managed to get the sky to turn out like the colour of the water. / ’’Asian Series’ card by Karin Taylor This is one of my favourite pieces in the oriental series. / Two little friends falling asleep in their little boats whilst fishing for their supper. / I really enjoyed mixing the colours for this painting, I used colour swatches from paint charts to decide on the colour scheme, and just went to work intuitively mixing til I got the right colours…they are grungier than my other pics and I love the effect…hope you like them too :D

/ Sailor Girl is a mixed media production on canvas textured paper, I used ink, pastel, and some acrylic…..inks are mainly black, acrylics are mainly white, you can see the canvas texture showing through the pastel, which gives it a nice textured appeal I am really into sailing boats, hope you like this one :D Here’s another one available in a print at last!

I wasn’t sure about uploading this one but I decided to because this was the easiest infrared picture I have ever processed. I channel swapped the colours and that is all….I haven’t done anything else to it. Normally I have to play with levels and heaps of other stuff to get the blues right and the white actually white, but for some reason this one didn’t need any adjusting at all…not sure why.
