...excited with their find, the Redbubble Blowers of Outer Braxius raced towards Earth. The blue tracer spewed information for later analysis. Starved of a creative outlet for so long, they had almost given up hope. Their own craft was almost completely consumed by the journey and they knew the remaining fragment would not last much longer. Slimtin had kept surfing though, through the galaxies and star systems with their planetary necklaces, until it had been found. A 100% Redbubble site, with enough creative fire to fuel their imaginations and their ship for light years… see the T Shirt “Braxian Language Decoder”, if you are curious about what Slimtin is saying. peter has kindly offered to print the decoder on the back of the shirt, for anyone interested in purchasing it.

The Power of the Group

True Story: Once a very famous glass blower (who before glass techniques are as they are today rather so out of this universe!) held a big class. He was very famous and his style was unsurpassed back then. His class consisted of about 100 people, his students for the weekend came from all over the world, all eager to learn something. After two intense days of showing them all the details of his work he held a goodbye seminar going over his teachings and told the class if they ever had any questions as to what they learned here he would accept their calls and he would help them with what ever it was they did not remember. One student raised their hand to ask a question.., rather embarrassed but determined to ask. / “Excuse me, sir, I have a question…” / “Please” he said, “Well you have had us for 2 days now… showing us all your original ideas to your work…. aren’t you afraid that we will steal your ideas and copy what you do?” He smiled and said,,,,, Well I would, if I thought what I shared with you was the last idea I would ever have” ..............!! ......And so it goes, if we trust the ‘infinite nature’ of our being we can allow everyone in. We never have to worry who has the limelight or no… Our turn is always here, first in our hearts and minds about our work… / I am learning this here at RB with all of you. Sometimes I can feel other feelings besides ‘It’s all good in the hood’ as my neck of the woods might put it. But I am learning to trust everyday the power of co-creation. It is necessary for me like going to a yoga class. I love the energy… sometimes others can do more than I can, but…As my brother Paul who is a great yoga teacher says to me… / Just take your shoes off and look around with love and stick to your mat. Stay with ‘your’ expansion and all else will follow. So I am sometimes having this experience here that feeds me… yesterday was one of the first times I felt a group expanding force, everyone was doing their own thing and yet when someone posted it was as if we all did it together… / I am in complete appreciation of you all. / Linaji

Meet my snowblower… This old girl was a fantastic little lady. Until she caught fire and burned, I was blowing out my driveway this morning and when I was finished I parked the blower and went inside. I came out a couple minutes later and too my utter disbelief it was on fire. Flames were shooting out everywhere lol. I doused the blaze after 5 minutes and said my goodbyes! She was survived by 1 lawn mower and a bbq. Goodbye old girl… / / You will be missed… lol / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

Blowering Dam is near Tumut on the edge of the Kosiosko National Park. You can see, if you look around the edges, that the dam is only at about 40% capacity. / It was a fairly bleak day, but the sun would filter through every now & then. Timing was important for the shot. That & HDR has helped to bring up the detail.

Monday 11:00am Our doubts are traitors, / And make us lose the good we oft / might win, / by fearing to attempt. / Wiliam Shakespeare / I am in awe at how true this statement is for us as we get older… I have sat back and really thought about how WE, as little children really do not carry this type of fear around with us. I mean, if you watch little children and how eager they are to learn and how open they let themselves be to learning new things… they are excited by trying new things and do not have that fear of the “WHAT IF’s”. / I know that as we get older the responsiblities get heavier and more time consuming but why do we allow ourselves to lose our ability to just LIVE for the moment? Where does it say that as we age in years we have to stop daydreaming and seeing the magic in things as we did as kids? WE don’t… we just see through wiser eyes that seem to see the logic in things instead of the magic . Which just proves that US adults DO NOT know it all !!!! / So many times I have not attempted to do something for fear of rejection or fear of dissappointing , fear of what others will perceive of me … I kept myself safe in a very lonely place for years because of it but through those times I found that I saw myself the clearest and tried to understand and learn from that. I missed out on wonderful friendships and experiencing life because I let FEAR be my guild. Writting this blog/journal was so scary for me at first ! I was afraid that others would not be able to relate and feel that I was trying to seem as though my life was so important that I HAD to put it here for everyone to see… I feared that I would fail and no one would respond …. I am humbled by the responses that I have gotten and I am so excited and thankful about each day that I get to share my thoughts and feeling and lessons with whoever reads them. I hope to “share wings” with many as the word spreads and I only hope to inspire and share what I have learned . / With every negative there is a positive … The negative being the hardships that I have had to bare but the positive is the lessons I have to share :) Hope your day is a great one … always know that I am thinking of you all !!!! Taken at Blowering Dam near Tumut. The ‘roo population here is very large. One needs to be careful driving particularly at dawn or dusk. This was taken out the car window with very little zoom. / I’ve used a little of Max’s idea to get a painted look. Two filters. One for the watercolour effect then one for the brush effect.

Taken at Shi-Cha-Hai Park. A traditional craft, making figures from boiled sugar. In old days, the figures were both toys and candy for children.

Blowering Dam is on the western edge of Kosciuszko National Park east of Tumut at the foothills of the NSW Snowy Mountains. This photo was taken back in 2005 when the dam was around 40% capacity. Blowering is the last dam on the western side of the famous Snowy Moutains Scheme and is on the Tumut River .When full, It holds 1,628,000 megalitres, although as of May 2008 it is around 28% full. The dam was also the host of the world water speed record back in 1978 of 511 km/h (317.60 mph). This record still stands today and has yet to be beaten! For better viewing click on ‘view larger’.
