Grunge Floral in Misty Lavender
-
The use of vibrant blue and splashes of orange watercolour immediately draws you in – which then uncovers the finer details of this unique piece…. / The statements, “practice makes perfect” (referring to our own personal journey as artists) and “I care, you care, we care, we all care” (reinforcing our belief in positive thinking) are almost a hidden distraction amongst the falling bunny sketches and the tight cluster of heads.

Technique inspired by Qu Lei Lei,wrinkling or crinkling is used to provide texture. Crushed paper is used after balling it up and flattening it. / Creases are made and then gently run a brush over the high points. The majority of these disappear when mounted. Ink Blotting is also done with this method. I have done this and then added watercolor to it. Origional is not for sale

this is the begining of something new. / are you ready? in the beginning i tried way to hard. eventually i stumbled and fell. i kept pushing but the result just didn’t seem to come. with no results i started to lose my drive. everything stated to look the same. / eventually i had to focus on other things.. things like making sure i had a roof over my head. i had forgotten about having fun… i started slipping again. the worse it got, the less i wanted to try. i was giving up. one day i was cleaning my pen and getting ready to put it away along with my camera on the shelf… i had actually crumpled this up and put it in my pocket instead of throwing it away. lucky i guess. i pulled it out one day before i was about to do my laundry and realized what had happened. i had been trying way to hard when that wasn’t why i had made it in the first place.
