Yellow alstroemeria flower…. these little blooms are one of my favorites…can you tell? To fully appreciate the textures and details… This is best viewed large…. :D (little bit of background information on how I created this image: My kitchen window is the perfect place for natural light…. It streams in onto my kitchen table. So what I did was I got a white piece of posterboard and secured it behind the vase that this flower was in..and made sure that the paper curved around the vase..so that it also created a shadow, as well as the background. I placed a blue piece of material directly underneath the vase and paper so that when I rotated the vase and paper toward the window and the incoming sunlight…it not only created a shadow..but also reflected and tinted the shadow to the subtle blue that you see. That combined with a mini tripod and some prayers that the kids didnt come running up is how this image was born… It sounds complicated….but just start experimenting with reflecting light and creating natural shadows..and you will be suprised what you can do.) It pays to be able to zoom in on these guys. But trying to catch one is still difficult. I cropped the right side from this – as it was just more of that background look and I thought it helped some.

No… Roses are not blooming in CAlif.. the Global Warming Has not yet reached those levels.. teehee.. / but.. / I have finally done something that thrills me…(before the New Year) / I have spent the last two days, and I am not done yet, creating an easy filing system so when I finally get access to my web site I can upload with ease and have a system for business that will aid in follow ups to clients and orders. / I have worked off and on (after my other job) about 8 hours per day. Wow!! I feel good too, not drained. / Oh.. the rose? Well I found this shot in my files and fell in love. I don’t know why I never uploaded it before but I find it loverly.. and perhaps perfect timing for this flower loving woman. / Tis new years eave tomorrow and for parts of the world it’s tonight!!
