this is a crocus that is growing in my yard right now, we have had some pretty warm temps for february around here and some of my crocus’ are blooming, this little flower only stands about 4 to 6 inches tall, i shot this macro literally laying on the ground to give an idea of just how tall it really is, i shot this using a nikon diopter lens attached to a canon 75-300mm lens, also..this is dedicated to Gisele since she is stuck with nothing but snow and needs a flower fix :) so Gisele this is for you

From the flowers my wife got in the hospital. I played with my macro lens on this. Had to set the Fstop to f25 to get everything in focus. ISO 100, shutter speed 1/4. I also used a flash. I consider this one of my best floral shots. / Hope you like! Add me to your watch list now / My Bubblesite / Copyright © by Lenz Photo Shop, All Rights Reserved. this evening primrose only opens it’s blooms in the evening hours, just as dusk starts this flower will open itself up, it will stay blooming until the early morning sun starts to hit it. my neighbor across the street brought this to my attention the other day while out walking the dog. its really cool to watch it open up as the light slowly fades on it. / this was actually taken at dusk, almost night time, so i lowered my shutterspeed some (since there was no wind) and upped my ISO to 800, F-stop was at 4.0

It’s Winter in Australia, which means the Wattle is beginning to bloom. In my area we’ll soon be surrounded by a sea of bouncing little balls of yellow…... Did you know : / - Wattle is Australia’s official floral emblem, having adorned our Coat Of Arms since 1912. / - there are around 950 different species of Wattle….. which is why I have no clue as to which one this is! / - On 1 September 1910 the Sydney Morning Herald stated: / “To many Australians the wattle stands for home, country, kindred, sunshine and love; every instinct that the heart most deeply enshrines.”........ nice :) [canon 1000D, canon scanner for texture, PS watercolour] WINNER – Wattle challenge – October 2009

This little daisy bloom was the last one on this plant. The colors and blending make this look as if it was water colored. But it really was taken with my Nikon D80.
