Every year I take so many shots of blossom, I must have hundreds of photo’s of it! The problem is that I have an orchard at the back of my cottage full of apple trees, cherry trees, plum trees, pear trees…...........

...am feeling full of Nectar today, this beautiful Lilium popped out today on the Patio… so thought I’d share it with you … my beautiful creative peepz lol!..The Archies sugar ....Nectar (nktr) / A sweet liquid secreted by plants as food to attract animals that will benefit them. Many flowers produce nectar to attract pollinating insects, birds, and bats. Bees collect nectar to make into honey. Nectar is produced in structures called nectaries. Some plants have nectaries located elsewhere, outside the flower. These provide a food source for animals such as ants which in turn defend the plant from harmful insects. It’s Winter in Australia, which means the Wattle is beginning to bloom. In my area we’ll soon be surrounded by a sea of bouncing little balls of yellow…... Did you know : / - Wattle is Australia’s official floral emblem, having adorned our Coat Of Arms since 1912. / - there are around 950 different species of Wattle….. which is why I have no clue as to which one this is! / - On 1 September 1910 the Sydney Morning Herald stated: / “To many Australians the wattle stands for home, country, kindred, sunshine and love; every instinct that the heart most deeply enshrines.”........ nice :) [canon 1000D, canon scanner for texture, PS watercolour] WINNER – Wattle challenge – October 2009
