The unusually high temps from the previous day had warmed the ground, the tide levels were very high and the cool morning temps all combined to create a very dense fog that layed seige not only to the fort and every thing within miles, but also to all my equiptment. Making this a tough but rewarding composition. / The sun, in the right top background is already high in the sky and struggling to burn the fog away. It didnt happen until about 10:00 am. A beautiful day to be out and stroking the shutter. The Moat at Fort Pulaski National Monument / Cockspur Island, Georgia, USA

So thick the moisture rolls off the cannon like rain drops. / One can get a sense of the tensions that fill the silent air during the civil war when the fog rolled in like this.
