medium: intaglio print completed in 2002, age 16 A thick piece of paper was first damped, then rolled between layers of newsprint paper to absorb access moisture, and then rolled through a press with the inked plate. A reasonably modern but ugly apartment complex in Caleta De Fuste, Fuerteventura which looked great against that cloudy streaked sky… Looks like the sky/cloud is bursting out from behind the apartment block… tempted to colour it all red to look like fire….! Sculptures created with thousands of LEGO bricks by artist Sean Kenney. Sean Kenney has been playing with LEGO toys, non-stop, for over 30 years. He creates sculptures, full time, using hundreds of thousands of LEGO bricks every year. Based in New York City, he has produced artwork and commissions worldwide for galleries and museums, television and magazines, corporations, famous stores, and for individuals from grandmothers to celebrities. Sean and his work have been seen in The New York Times, BBC news, Elle Magazine, Good Morning America, New York Magazine, and numerous documentaries and retrospectives about LEGO toys.

Clouds, hand drawn – for drawing day. Then added to photoshop. Added a tiny square, replicated a bajillion times and “stuff”. No monkeys were harmed in the making of this tee despite all efforts.

I was in London meeting a friend who was quite late and then eventually decided to stay in the pub. I took the opportunity to take some London scenes, this was one of them. Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 32mm, f/22, 20 sec, ISO 100. No filters used. My new fancy tripod held steady, thank god. Reflections of sins aren’t sins. / Your past doesn’t live in your mirror. / Check it out, that shiny thing: it’s not equal to you, / even though it appears that way. / It’s a shimmer and a moment of light. / What are you? / You’re yesterday’s milk and honey. / You’re last year’s pie in the sky. / You’re more real than your mirror. / You’re tomorrow’s desire. Your mirror falsifies. / Your mirror pretends to be you. / It steals your light and bends it just so. / But if you look… / if you SEE… / Your mirror’s lifemask will be revealed. / You’ll see how it degrades the images of your life, / how each copy is less than than the one before. Glance at it, if you must, but then walk away. / After all, it’s only smoke….and lies. The inequity of self-judgment irritates the heck out of me. We NEVER have a clear idea of what and who we are, if we use others’ opinions as a guide. Today I’m going to try harder to stay secure in my own knowledge. Two photoimages and a fractal edited in Photoshop Elements 3. / It you look EVERY closely you’ll see that one side of this mirror image is lying.

The view thru the Chapel windows of the Main Cell Block of the old historic Fremantle Prison. / Camera – Panasonic Lumix FZ30 A bit of info - / Fremantle Prison is a former Australian prison located in The Terrace, Fremantle, in Western Australia. The site includes the prison, gatehouse, perimeter walls, cottages, tunnels, and prisoner art. It was built by convict labour in the 1850s, and transferred to the colonial government in 1886 for use as a gaol for locally-sentenced prisoners. It closed as a prison in 1991 and reopened as a historic site. It is now a public museum, managed by the Government of Western Australia with daily and nightly tours being operated. Some tours include information about the existence of ghosts within the prison.
