I wish I could come up with a better name for her… scratch that, I wish I could come up with ANY name for her actually. Oh well… maybe it’s better that way. Anyway, it was more so tedious than time-consuming but I’m satisfied with the result. I’ll probably experiment with different color schemes at a later point. It really looks like it has alot of potential in that department. Comments would be appreciated! Toodloo

I saw this woman as i wandered through a Rwandan hospital. There, in the stark hospital room, she sat admiring this tiny creature with such love and gentleness. Her contentment of knowing that this tiny baby was hers. / I could not resist but to capture it.

Sacred Universe The ancient motifs of basic circle and spiral are widely recognized as metaphors for fertility, continuity, and the Goddess. Simplicity is deceiving, because the spiraling circle is also the template of physical reality. The design and proportion of sunflower heads, pine cones and snail shells are only a few examples. DNA, cell division, whirlpools, hurricanes, our galaxy, the nature of time itself are all based upon the same blueprint; wholeness and all life being interconnected. Its not surprising many earth centered and eastern cultures emphasize circle and spiral in religious and spiritual philosophy, but abstract thought such as Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, physics, the Golden Ratio, and Phi are all based upon it. Life on the physical, mental and spiritual plane is the spiraling inward/outward journey. Star fire burns in the nucleus of every cell; we are spiritual beings who’ve forsaken our origins. We are all relations; claim the birthright and initiate mending the hoop of the world. Parent to child we form a living bridge, the umbilical cord connecting past with future. / Maybe the universe herself is in a fetal stage, drifting upon the silent current of space and time that is the womb of the great goddess. MARION CHAMPMAN is a wonderful artist and a lover of patterns and design.. Printmaking and experimenting with all kinds of materials and colors.. she really turns my head.. Marion… truth be told.. Kauai is not a very pastel-y place.. so I took my photo and gave it a Marion Wash.. I love this shot..I do not know what this is but I spent some time with this guy..It was a very tall tree and that is how the leaves grow on it.. no branches!! Marion’s Chapman’s Pastels inspired Maddy of Smudge ARt Fame to write a most lovely lovely piece.. My gratitude for the Love here is ever growing.. Thank YOu Maddy! What beauty is this I behold ? / “A feast to ones eye”, I am told. / Leaves wrapped in soft hues. / Colors of gold, red and spiritual blues. “A tree without branches ”, she did say. / Just leaves that enfold it in every way. / Lina sad, this tree amazed me so, / I could not look at it and just let it go. A beautiful and peaceful place, Wharariki Beach lies on the North West coast of New Zealand’s South Island. A 2km drive down a dirt road then hike through hills and pastures ensured I was the first person to walk on the beach since the tide went out, and that during the 2 hours I spent there I only saw a handful of people. Wharariki Beach truly is bliss!

Ascension is about love and its power. Anahata is the chakra located in the heart region. iI has 12 petals and it is connected to the capacity of loving deeply and also to the feelings of compassion and empathy. It is generally depicted in the color green, but in my mind it appeared in luminous yellow with hints of red. It is through the anahata chakra that we can contact universal love. It is the main point of contact to the so-called “inner Christ” and the upper planes. Other symbols I used to represent the same concept are the water, running upward in a straight blue stripe across the picture, and the fish. The fish is connected to the Pisces sign and also to the primitive Christianity message. Both symbols are related to universal love and compassion. The skull means that loves transcends even death, and leads to a deep transformation. It also has the meaning of the XIII arcane, Death – things that die to give place to other ones, a deeply alchemical experience. The upper figure is representative of a state of ecstasy and bliss conduced by deeply spiritual experiences. When we are able to achieve a full state of love, even for brief moments, we feel like we are connected to something bigger and higher. Experiencing love is also a totally libertarian thing, which I wanted to show through the hawk with open wings emerging from all the violet at the top. It’s only through love that we can transcend our material condition and achieve perfect happiness and fulfillment.

It looks a lot like an area of New Zealand called the Marlborough Sounds. What childhood memories are made of. The old bach (or crib)...simple holiday home with comfortable but basic living conditions. Getting away from the rat race.
