This little bough of purple flowers seemed to go nicely with an old Irish Blessing, a favorite prayer of mine for a long time now.

My dog River posing for a portrait in the snow. She has ALWAYS liked her picture being taken since she barely opened her eyes at two weeks of age. Her litter mates ran around when the camera aimed at them but she stood in attention every time a photo opportunity showed up! :) I’m sure she’d be glad that I donate the proceed of the sale of her photos to Nature Canada as she loves woods and her deer friends as much as I do! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada.

This is a little bridge in my piece of the woods after the first snow. All is calm and quiet. Even the deer seemed to be walking gingerly – not wanting to disturbed the “peace”. Some may even say that the picture portrays a feeling of “eerie-ness” but for me, it’s just the quietness and serenity. Ducked out this morning for bread and papers and found this new peice of graffitti had sprung up overnight. And I just love it. I had to turn around and go home and get my camera and come back and capture it before the tidy town people find it and paint over it. So here’s a picture of hope and tolerance on a special Sunday morning. God bless the mentally ill and keep them safe. And a very happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there.

As a child I always saw a sign or a welcome mat that had those words “May God Bless This House”. Whether it was at my mother’s house or my cousin’s house it didn’t matter the words were always there somewhere. In my house the word are on a hanging knitted sign in my kitchen. God watches over us all. We all need his protection. With all the divorces and new and different types of marriages being created I wonder if those family’s had someone like my mother or cousin in their lives to let them know how much T could do in their everyday life. If you know what I’m talking about then I’m asking you to take some tea, a little bit of sugar, and a nice card like mine (hint) to someone that you know might be struggling with their family or a relationship and talk to the family about God… Especially in the home…Especially during this holiday season…and Especially because you love Jesus and that is what he would do… ;http://images-1.redbubble.net/img/art/backingcolor:white/product:greeting-card/view:preview/2061554-2-god-bless-this-house.jpg

I thought he looked so cute… so decided to use this, for a Scripture verse. How blessed we are with children and grand children. :) / You know how they except what ever you tell them as truth? Well, that is how God wants us to be… just like a child, who is SO ready to believe the truth, he excepts it, with out doubt. That is why, the verse says, “Allow the little children to come unto me, for of such is the Kingdom of God”. Children love you unconditionally, they are part of you!! /

As those who know my work are all aware: I don’t usually “play with” Photoshop effects (of course except frames as I love framing). This time I can’t resist the concept so I used “vivid light” as an effect and add an extra gradient layer on top of the photo. I can only hope it worked.
