Tasmanian Blennies are fantastic little fish that love to hide in any hole, whether it’s a shell or even a piece of rubbish found under the pier. This guy was sitting in the perfect pose, and I took about 20 photos, getting closer and closer before I finally got this one.
Ecsenius lineatus, A common species in the Maldives. Various reef habitats, mainly sheltered deep lagoons on remote coral heads to depths of, at least, 30m. Variable from very dark banded to the band broken up series of spots. Latter variation common in the Maldives. Widespread Indo-Pacific. Lenght to 10cm.

This is a tiny Black Headed Blenny. it was only around 3/4 cms in length. They don not like to pose so i was very lucky to anything like this.
