A stand mixer is essentially the same as a hand mixer, but is mounted on a stand which bears the weight of the device. Stand mixers are larger and have more powerful motors than their hand-held counterparts. They generally have a special bowl that is locked in place while the mixer is operating. A typical home stand mixer will include a wire whip for whipping creams and egg whites; a flat beater for mixing batters; and a dough hook for kneading. Mixers should not be confused with blenders . Blenders contain sharp blades and typically operate at higher speeds that chop, liquefy, or otherwise break down larger food items. A mixer is a much slower device without blades.

A mixer is a kitchen appliance intended for mixing, folding, beating, and whipping food ingredients. Mixers come in two major variations, hand mixers and stand mixers. A hand mixer, as the name implies, is a hand-held digging device. It typically consists of a handle mounted over a large enclosure containing the motor, which drives one or two beaters. The beaters are immersed in the food to be mixed. Mixers should not be confused with blenders. Blenders contain sharp blades and typically operate at higher speeds that chop, liquefy, or otherwise break down larger food items. A mixer is a much slower device without blades.

This was an image i made as a student, the brief was “animal sayings”. / Its green spider and red food coulouring in the jug. Recently this Artwork was removed form redbubble due to a trademark infringement issue. I believe that as an artist i have the right to photograph this subject matter and produce it. This artwork is no longer for sale on redbubble so i shuld be able to avoid being sued by a large corpiration today.

3D modelling is not something I’m comfortable with. But I’ve decided to learn to do it anyway. Since I can’t afford 3D Studio Max (which costs about a year’s salary back when I had one!) I’m using the free program Blender ... and it’s not easy. This puts me in mind of a quote I came across years ago and wrote down in my diary, knowing it would be useful one day. Today is the day. “Beware of the man who works hard to learn something, learns it, and finds himself no wiser than before. He is full of murderous resentment of people who are ignorant without having come by their ignorance the hard way.” – Kurt Vonnegut Ok, back to faces, edges and vertices, and all the related confusing things ;)

KABUKI-CHO Tucked behind one of the world’s busiest stations a series of tight, dimly lit lanes make up Tokyo’s Kabuki-Cho District. Since the Second World War this area, locally referred to as ”piss alley”, has somehow avoided the surge towards the future that the rest of Tokyo has embraced. As day turns to night the many bars and guesthouses become a sanctuary to local spivs, madames and sex workers. Mingling among them are the curious “salary men” whose loosened inhibitions fuel the all night trade.

in my personal case, at least. A few days ago I uploaded “The rain is Tess”, feeling quite chuffed with the fact that I modelled the sword myself. Of course after a while it started to bother me that the silly sword was obviously in the wrong proportions for the character and with itself. So back to Blender I went. Started all over, re-did the whole thing. And then re-textured it. Back to Poser, replaced the old sword with the new one. And the blade wouldn’t shine. I just couldn’t get it going. So I gave up and took the whole scene into Vue, where at least I know how to make something shiny. Worked on that one for 2 days (between real life, intruding). Now Vue doesn’t render Poser models very cleanly so I spent hours last night cleaning it up with Photoshop, only to decide this morning that it looked terrible. Guess what, back to Poser, where I wrestled with the Material Room until I got it almost right. Photoshop then came to the rescue in the end. I guess I’m happier with it now. This is the original version: / And here’s the new version: / The drawback? Well, it took a lot of time I could have spent on something less frustrating ;) Normally I’m not so obsessive.

I’m really going wild with Blender … this one took only an hour or so to make … and most of that time was spent getting the texture, bump and transparency maps ready. The model is absurdly simple, haha! Scithian Pectoral for M3

A blender, or liquidiser is a kitchen appliance used to mix ingredients or puree food. The term typically refers to a stationary, upright electrical device, which is to be distinguished from a hand-powered or electric mixer that may be used for similar purposes. The blending container can be made of glass, plastic, or stainless steel, and often has graduated markings for approximate measuring purposes. At the top of the container is a lid to prevent ingredients from escaping during operation. At the bottom is a blade assembly, sometimes removable for cleaning purposes. In cases where the blades are removable, the container should have an o-ring between the body of the container and the base to seal the container and prevent the contents from leaking. Some of the functions of blenders have been taken over by food processors. In particular, thicker mixtures such as mayonnaise and hummus are easier to make in food processors.
