Ireland / / Stopping I hate and love this feeling there / this wonder of expectation / This nameless shapeless flying thing / that devours my concentration / My wonders turn to desperate thoughts / My rage to comments made / I hate the thoughts that now devour / My causes wilt in shade / There should be an end / A final decree to give me of my rest / Of this doubt, this bitter wend / I no longer want to impress / I will cease post mortem / on all I now once said / I will hold myself apart, I will indeed, / my feelings, pronounce dead / In all I hold, in all I feel / in stubborn, worthless chance / Resolve to miss it not one jot / this bitter cup, romance / I am too old, my feelings sold / To the late thoughts come my way / I will no longer beggar me / Not one will come to sway / My desperate leanings / My want concern / My wishing for this pleasure / Nothing now hidden saved, will return / / I will now learn to use myself / In thoughts of real and moment / My heart need not defend itself / No need to seek atonement / / My sense will rule / At least for once, to this end below / I will constrain this bitter aim / And say to my heart…. now go.
