So on the weekend I bought and primed a canvas. It’s been a while. A long while. And I’m a little bit scared. All that white space looking back at me. Judging me. I unpacked my art from kinder, smudges that are dragons, pink swiggly bits that are people. 20 years later and I still see the dragon, and the people. Terrified about what I might create, I keep telling myself, a smudged-dragon is better than a blank canvas

Friends, Romans, Countrymen, Lend me your Decks!

Kids, / I’m in a bit of a jam, pickle, a light honey braise… So a little while ago, I did these cool decks, and now i have the bug! .....I LOVED doing it, so much so I was inspired to design more… with a view to pitch some sort of exhibition… HOWEVER, I’m forced to execute my ninja skills on canvas… ...b/c blank decks are hard to come by over here on the island. I’ve asked around and have been told “there is no reason to bring black decks into the country” supplier wise. ok, so i thought to the internet!! and i found them, dirt cheap, on eBay, Amazon, and a few skate sites. If the shipping isn’t $115 – $250 (!!!!), they won’t ship to Australia AT ALL! So who here knows how i could get my hands on (at least) 5 blank decks, preferably natural, 7.75 wide, LiteZpeed, PopLite… somethingLite… the cool ones! With a few to get 10 more. Much Love and Painting Bugs, /

People here in Texas have trouble with all those “shalls” and “shall nots” in the ten Commandments. Folks here just aren’t used to talking in those terms. So, some folks out in west Texas got together and translated the “King James” into “King Ranch” language: THE COWBOY’S TEN COMMANDMENTS / (1) Just one God. / (2) Honor yer Ma & Pa. / (3) No telling tales or gossipin’. / (4) Git yourself to Sunday meeting. / (5) Put nothin’ before God. / (6) No foolin’ around with another fellow’s gal. / (7) No killin’. / (8) Watch yer mouth. / (9) Don’t take what ain’t yers. / (10) Don’t be hankerin’ for yer buddy’s stuff The Cowboy’s Ten Commandments are posted on the wall at / Cross Trails Church in Fairlie, Texas. “THE EYES OF TEXAS ARE UPON YOU” / / www.BlackjackMulligan.net In Honor of BlacKJack Mulligan’s new book “True Lies and Alibies” The true story of a true pro wrestler superstar.( details apond request.) /

No. I’m not playing Tetris (actually I was last week…) but despite a recent “stroke of genius” and the fact that I managed to make some artworks… I’m absolutely blocked. Blame it to this time of the year, a sudden lack of inspiration or inability to materialize what I have in mind. The massive block strikes me everywhere. No matter if I sit and start modelling in MAX, the model will look like crap (let alone the textures with Photoshop) or if I fire up Word and try to write a story… Sometimes I can’t even start them. I have the idea but either a random X or Y come into the equation and mess up the entire thing. I’m trying to do my best to overcome this crappy moment. For that purpose I have countless notebooks where I hand-write and/or sketch all sorts of weirdness. But I would love to turn that weirdness into something and that is what drives me mad at the moment. Ever had some solid and nice ideas and felt unable to apply them? Sucks bad. Currently I had three 3D/2D mixes in mind but I only started one (by started I mean it: it’s just 12 splines and a polygon of 12 faces) and still have horribly childish drawings for the other two. However that’s not the main worry. I love to write. In fact, I would love to get paid for writing. Yeah, keep on dreaming. I’m already aware I might and WILL get paid more for working as an editor, correcting drafts and polishing stuff for the print than being on the other side of the mirror, struggling to get 20 words published. Another side of this irony is that I had more luck making artworks (that is, showing in images the stuff I cannot properly describe/write about due to its high levels of… oddity, yeah, that could be the word) than with writing. Ok, gotta go back to see if I can come up with something. The blank page syndrome (or empty 3d space syndrome too), coupled with the saturnian block are slowly rusting my mood. Te odio, maldito fin de año, ¡es una porquería!

Of All The Goddamned Lies I Ever Believed, Art Hurts The Most

and all this time we thought we were free and all this time we had been sure that we ran easily with the power to begin, the power to end, the power to decide where the circles of our lives ran back into themselves with the linear precision commanded only by by the overwhelming (overwrought) weight sitting on our brows as the shaper of mankind, language, aether, nobody telling or even hinting anymore towards any clue of (religious texts don’t have sequels; this fact poses some serious questions on the amount of attention paid to the world by the various deities who all claim to have their fingers on the button) at the purpose of these vast maps of flesh we have slowly spread across the globe, races, naunces, borderlines, broader backs with bigger bones while skinny white flakes wave and prance in their platform shoes stacked high with hundred dollar bills, scattered maps of white, black, yellow, red, maps of chaotic fjords and serene plains, coming together, eruptions, separated or forced apart with the birth of a new land, another blank map waiting to be filled with the uncertainty of a single unwavering direction, providing no clues to any explorer or the land itself in it’s purpose here among all these other blank maps except the one inexorible fact that no piece of our rushed engineering has any more evidence to the nature of that final – missing – piece, that icing for our cake, that punctuation at the end of our historical sentence, that punch line of God’s cosmic joke, that compass that could point each and every map in the right direction, than any other in the multitudes of unfinished images that we call us and them, living circles convinced of our control over the curves, slopes, entrances of our kind yet rolling steadily on, bissfully unaware that time is linear and what you see now doesn’t exist now, the moment has passed, that circles are the product of not knowing where to go, that we chase our tails without ever knowing that our heads should point forward, to the new, unsequeled and

I finally got around to adding more stuff in my bubble. / I started making hearts for a drawing challenge on Gather, but along the way I decided they would make a great greeting card. The white heart flower card was the first one I uploaded, but I wasn’t completely happy with the composition. I left it up anyhow because I like the horizontal line it forms. Next I added just part of the hearts and put a background on it. I am pretty pleased with ‘Heart Card2’. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to come up with any nice verbage to add to them, so they will remain blank for now!
