Help Protect Australia From Errorism! Location: My house – Richardson, Tx / Taken March 11, 2008 It was unusually foggy that morning, you could barely see 10 feet in front of you. Taken same day as my Cemetery with Fog piece; except about 10 minutes earlier. / I chose the title because with all the dead trees and eerie fog, it looks like it could be something out of the Blair Witch Project, except in a suburban setting. (hmm, movie idea, much? haha) / I did 4 different edits of this, and this is the one that more professionals liked the best. I though it was interesting, though, seeing as this one didn’t have much enhancing done to it, and the rest had a couple filters. comments/criticism much appreciated on this one as well =] / If you don’t like something, don’t be afraid to tell me. If you think it sucks, tell me. I can’t learn if no one tells me what they personally would change. so if there’s something that you would change as an artist/professional/photographer/whatever you may be, i encourage that you tell me =]
11×15” (Winsor & Newton Cotman and Loew-Cornell Metallics on Strathmore CP 300 series paper) Part of my Revolutionaries Series. Watercolor portrait of George Orwell, inspired by his poem The Pagan (my favorite poem). Orwell is a huge inspiration to me and my work, from his ideals to his literature; he was a true visionary and genius. I tried to give him the purple and gold he desired… / Poem as follows: The Pagan / by Eric Blair (George Orwell) / 1918 SO HERE are you, and here am I, / Where we may thank our gods to be; / Above the earth, beneath the sky, / Naked souls alive and free. / The autumn wind goes rustling by / And stirs the stubble at our feet; / Out of the west it whispering blows, / Stops to caress and onward goes, / Bringing its earthy odours sweet. / See with what pride the setting sun / Kinglike in gold and purple dies, / And like a robe of rainbow spun / Tinges the earth with shades divine. / That mystic light is in your eyes / And ever in your heart will shine.
Blood for oil. It’s a world wide suicide. The original design (above) turned 1. Happy birthday shirt. This is the blood edition :
After his covert dictatorship as British PM had ended in a bodycount to rival Hitler’s – Tony Blair sought to win back the people with his religious vision,. As a Prme Minister who excelled in messianic speeches and then becoming head of the World faith group Tony had a good start in his vision of world peace, he was very well received considering his deadly past but soon he was abusing his powers again, in 2010 he challenged pope Benedict for the papacy in a live mud-wrestling extravaganza in Vatican square which he lost, he then had a bitter law-suit against Tom Cruise who refused to give up his Scientology crown. Tony tried again and again to spread his good news, going on a televised peace mission to the far-east where he started proclaiming love and equality but the old right-wing demons kept taking over, with UN support he attempted to overthrow Buddhism, appearing drunk at a press conference he totally lost it, calling the Buddha ‘ a fat benefit-cheat’ and ‘ a tree-loving home-wrecker’ angry monks chased Tony from the continent and into obscurity. / Stripped of his faith foundation title and excommunicated from the church Tony slipped into a deep depression, trying to make ends meet by selling CD’s of his old speeches from the back of a van – he was on the brink of a total nervous breakdown. / Then in 2012 with end-time fever gripping the globe, Tony found his opportunity for public adulation in Simon Cowells ‘Messiah factor’, he beat off budding hopefuls from every nation. Wowing the world in the semi-final by parting the English Channel, the huge walls of water then crashed down upon the 50,000 immigrants who ran across the sea bed from France. The bloodthirsty masses went wild for Tony’s sweeping immigration solution and voted him into the final. The final was staged in Jerusalem in a huge fibre-glass and polystyrene copy of Solomons Temple, by then Tony had amassed a huge following of ‘Blairites’ and the world waited to see his final act, it was indeed his final act. / Tony took six hours to pass away but never failed to wow the crowds by introducing the top music acts of the day, even telling political anecdotes between bouts of unconsciousness. His old pal George was by his side and a stream of celebrities all came to pay homage with gifts from eager sponsors, what a day that was. Tony in his last moments was heard whimpering ‘they love me George, they love me’ before giving up the ghost screaming ‘ I am your God’, he had promised a ressurection as New Tony but half-an-hour later he was forgotten in a multimedia whirlwind of subliminal advertising and pounding music, within the hour Elton John released a tribute single called ‘candle in Iraq, it topped the midnight chart-rundown and then sunk as quickly back into a bottomless sea of new music.
yet another creation….yep i’m having a ball… / can you tell?
Taken on a hike today in Blair Atholl Estate . Loch Ordie from a different angle. The birch trees and the larch had a hoar frost covering – the day was dull with fog sweeping over at times but a great day.
This is a frozen Loch Rotmell, Blair Atholl Estate taken looking South.
George Orwell (aka Eric Blair) lived as a police officer in remote Katha, Burma, on the upper Irrawaddy River between 1926-27, and it was during this time that he gathered material to write, several years later, the book “Burma Days”. These days the house is a rundown ruin, but is still lived in by an old Burmese woman.
