I”ve been posting lots of crazy old hand coloured images lately and just for something a bit different I thought I’d post something a little odd and unusual that I made just a couple of weeks ago. This is a cyanotype…... made by mixing various toxic chemicals with distilled water and then together. The resulting solution is then painted onto heavy textured watercolour paper and left to dry in a light tight place. When dry they are taken outside into the sunshine and a full sized transparency is positioned on top of it and then a sheet of glass is placed over that. Then the image is left to expose under the sun for a while….maybe five to ten minutes before taking it back indoors and rinsing it under flowing water….. peg it up and let it dry and voila….. a random blue image…...:) This is the same start up image as this handcoloured one I posted yesterday…... and that one is 25 years old…. quite different readings I think…..... let me know what you think…...:)

When I was in my early 20’s I became involved in the Kustom Kulture movement. / Think James Dean and The Misfits, Rat Fink, Old Skool Tattoos, Lux Interior, 50’s style Pin Ups, Studded belts and Razor Blade earrings, Leopard Print and Fishnet Stockings…think Pin Stripes, Flames and Hot Rods….think me…;) / I have never owned a vehicle less than 40 years old. I have never had Air Conditioning in a car nor have I had Power Windows. I have always changed my own oil, changed my own tyres and generally done most of my own maintenance. Last year I sold my push bike…which was a customized Chopper. / I was a part of the Kustom Kulture movement. It has begun to end as I have gotten older and after the death of my boyfriend and long time partner 4 years ago…I have lost the desire for it I once had. I also feel with the rising cost of petrol….my car is becoming a commodity I can no longer afford to run. Here are some shots I took on the weekend…a peek at the ‘Kulture’ which has been part of my life for so long…..so Kool ;) Less is more… / Oh Mama! / Pontiac…this thing is gorgeous. / Pinstriping… / Flames / Mr Whippy / The Muzak / Whose your Daddy..Tailpipe / Women of Kulture are possibly the most Low Maintenance style of woman you will ever meet….nothing matters to us…but the size of your Donk. If you have one of these….you’re in! /

Hi to the person who bought my blue bubble fish tshirt. I hope you feel GREAT when you wear it. And a belated thanks to the one who bought my dolphin sleep card. / The tshirt sale was my second break and my first tshirt to move off the production line so I have to say that it’s not all sales for everyone (to reassure the many many who read about the other’s success with heavy hearts, we don’t want to guilt on you but it’s tough keeping motivated sometimes). BUT Bubble brings lots of promo so that FREE advertising, and hey I don’t actively work away from the bubble so if it’s that sales rep thing, I perhaps need to spend more time in the marketing dept. Ho Hum. / Sorry if you have caught any of my winging and complaining journals, I am susceptible to grumpy venting at times… / At the end of the day, I have more confidence than ever and I owe it all to all of you!!! / And if you are reading this and you are one of those negative a-holes that are floating around… she pokes out her tongue at you / If you have to get attention and fun by spoiling it for everyone, you are gonna find the karma cycle in your brains man!!! I took my first RAW files, so i’m experimenting with HDR from just the single images (it doesnt work as well as several images but ah well) :) hugs and kisses! ♥ oh! and i bought a snowboard =D if anyones remotely interested i’ll post pics here later?
