This is what you might call an unintentional collaboration. I had no intentions of posting this to the bubble, but I sent it out to a few people to whom I had been raving about how gorgeous our lake looks when it is reflecting. Andrew Bosman asked if he could “borrow” my image. Of course I couldnt say no, especially when he used his pleases and thankyou’s… / / Obsidian Enchantment… is what he sent back. / / He has taken my merely pretty picture and turned it into something which is, in my opinion, out of this world! Thankyou Andrew, for seeing what I could not.

This particular daffy stood out for me in the original photo, he seemed to be reaching for an extra share of sunlight over his buddies. Pond Lilies at the wildlife sanctuary – very large area of wetlands and ponds where you will also find birds of many varieties including swans, ducks, geese and smaller birds of the air. Sometimes also wild turkeys, and a variety of pheasants.

I received a timely reminder today from a very dear friend to “come out and play” so here I am =) I worked on the colour version of this for so long that I completely lost any objectivity I may have once had, even after walking away from it for days and coming back to it. I love the black and white, but the colour version has a totally different feel, a really intense feel… I can’t really explain it. I may upload that one too, just to get some feedback on the both of them side by side. My grandmother has suffered a lot from arthritis, so do I at times. Medication helps, but for some people it’ plainly not enough and it can become very debilitating. And ordinary simple actions like holding a pen or a fork may be a real hardship.
