This particular daffy stood out for me in the original photo, he seemed to be reaching for an extra share of sunlight over his buddies. This is what you might call an unintentional collaboration. I had no intentions of posting this to the bubble, but I sent it out to a few people to whom I had been raving about how gorgeous our lake looks when it is reflecting. Andrew Bosman asked if he could “borrow” my image. Of course I couldnt say no, especially when he used his pleases and thankyou’s… / / Obsidian Enchantment… is what he sent back. / / He has taken my merely pretty picture and turned it into something which is, in my opinion, out of this world! I received a timely reminder today from a very dear friend to “come out and play” so here I am =) I worked on the colour version of this for so long that I completely lost any objectivity I may have once had, even after walking away from it for days and coming back to it. I love the black and white, but the colour version has a totally different feel, a really intense feel… I can’t really explain it. I may upload that one too, just to get some feedback on the both of them side by side. Two things that go perfectly well together, don’t you think? This is one of my favourite places in my hometown. It’s a park alongside the St. Lawrence river with a great view on downtown Montreal on the other side.

As the planets finally aligned, last week saw me in the right place at the right time… with my camera! I drive past this dam every time I go into town, and at last I captured it in this perfect mood.

This photograph of my grandparents and friends was in my aunt’s photo album that my cousin let me scan for posterity. My grandparents are the two people just to the right of the fellow in the center. I love this photograph because of the wonderful composition and reflections.
