Featured in National Parks of the World on June 4, 2009. Located at Blackheath in the Blue Mountains National Park. The rock hangs into the Grose Valley. Thank you to the organisers of the Blue Mtns of NSW group for featuring this image on October 8, 2008. This spot is 2 hours drive west of Sydney & then an hours walk to this site. The area is not fenced or well signposted. You need good hiking boots because of the steep surfaces & loose gravel. I wouldn’t reccommend taking children there. The rock is much bigger than it appears here, but I wasn’t game to get too close to the edge of the cliff.
Shaddy and I went for a walk, we took some pics, this is one of them. Taken in the Grand Canyon, Blackheath, Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia. VIEW LARGE!

And this is the actual view that a couple in the Perfect view image are looking at. Tweaked in PS2 by my Benches co-host Peter who also insisted I upload this image. Much better viewed larger. Thank you for looking!
Views of Kanimbla Valley and The Megalong Valley high in the Blue Mountains in NSW. Photo taken from Mt Blackheath.
On a blustery day the water tried to defy gravity. This is the first water off the falls for sometime, as we have had some welcomed rain.
This photo was taken at Evans Lookout, Blackheath in the Blue Mountains. It over looks the Grose Valley and many spectacular gorges. As you can see it was a hazy day however I was able to get a clear patch to the right before it moved in completely.
This photograph was taken at Evans Lookout in Blackheath, looking out upon the Grose Valley in the Blue Mountains National Park, Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia. I arrived at this lookout just in time to catch a rain storm rolling through the valley and also a rainbow. I had the best of both worlds. I stayed at this lookout for about 15 minutes, just to see how long it took for the rain to arrive where I was, it didn’t take long, I’m always amazed how fast the weather moves up here.
this photo has been added to the “Faith” theme at JPG in the hope of getting my picture published. so if anyone else has an account with these guys i would very much appreciate it if you could vote for me and ill return the favor… Link can be found HERE regards.
This Currawong followed me from spot to spot at Evans Lookout in the Blue Mountains National Park, just near Blackheath. He was singing his melodious song as if to charm me. As he settled onto the branch of this dead tree, I thought it was my chance to get a shot at him … with my Nikon D80.

On a recent trip to the Blue Mountains, we took the road from Blackheath that took us down a winding road through a magestic forest of ferns. From this drive you could look back up towards the Hydo Majestic at Blackheath and the sandstone cliffs. As the road flattened out the scenery turned to eucalypt forests and farms dotted with cattle grazing on the lush grasses there. There were a number of these low slung barns that either houses farm machinery or feed for the cattle. I loved the combinations of these rustic barked trees against the old rusty roofs of the barn.
