A photo of Arthur Seat, taken from Blackford Hill on a cold winter’s morning. Arthur’s Seat is the main peak of the group of hills which form most of Holyrood Park, a remarkably wild piece of highland landscape in the centre of the city of Edinburgh. The hill rises above the city to a height of 251 m (823 feet), provides excellent panoramic views of the city.

This picture was taken of a young couple who were strolling through the Hermitage of Braid, close to Blackford Hill in Edinburgh. My aim here was to capture them holding hands under a bridge with the surroundings of woodland colours, light, shadow and reflection providing a romantic setting.
